Daily debate: what QB would you want over Carson Beck?

CIS loves to tell you how every coach and player is trash but when you ask an honest opinion of who they think is good only a couple guys will respond. Personally, don’t think there’s a surefire guy better than a healthy Beck. But who knows if his arm is ever 100% again or if some other quarterback comes out of nowhere to dominate. I’m curious if we asked this exact question last off season, how many people would have picked Carson over Cam Ward.

Hopefully by next Spring we will be happy to have a Miami recruited QB at the helm (Nickel) and another freshman pushing him (Coleman). We need to get to this place sooner rather than later.

What is adjusted yards per attempt? I fell like the guy who had the most 20 yard+ passes shouldn’t have ended up in the 60’s in yards per attempt nationally. The head to head battle in week ones wasn’t even a comparison either. I get that Georgia has a good defense but so does Clemson and Cade did absolutely nothing while Beck completed 70% for 280 and 2 TDs. I like Klubnick’s athleticism and he’s going to win a lot of games this year again but I’m not sold that he’s a consistent passer. I will say Clemson’s OC does a really good job of tailoring what they do offensively around his strengths.

Cant even say you’re wrong because you had people saying ward and will howard was 1A/1B

People keep getting fooled by team wins, for qbs i can understand it a little but you would think we would stop that after seeing cam but this board even did it for meesh last year lmfao smh

It will be the same thing they say right now about WR and any other position where it is not a starter returning. 75% of the board will be freaking out saying the season is doomed if we don't get someone from the portal. We could have freshman Trevor Lawrence in the wings and still say how we need to get Kelly Bryant from the portal cause he started and was "good"
 
Beck has the ability execute the offense at a very high level. Cam went big-play hunting too often and I think people may be pleasantly surprised by Beck's game.

Hopefully he gets back to 100% and Mario signs an experienced receiver (or 2) better than everyone we currently have in the room.
