Nuss, Sellers, Arch.

Maybe Klubnik or Allar but they are on the same tier as Beck personally.
Idk if Sellers will ever be a great passer but better believe I’ll be there watching him as often as I can this year since I’m local

He’s a monster

Man I’m losing my mind. We’re talking about Cade Klubnik that lost in an actual, real life football game to Emory Williams being better than Beck? WTF.

Not saying I would 100% choose him over Beck, but players can’t inprove? You are comparing a 2023 version of Cade, completely skipping the amazing year he just had most recently, vs 2025 Beck? Does that make sense to you? Honest question?

I’m ready to roll with who we’ve got over anyone else.

Whatever shortcomings he has he makes up for in experience which is probably even more important.

If you need proof of that , just look at the championship game and look at what two limited but seasoned QBs did.

I figured I'll make it easier for you guys. If they already left or their name is Carson Beck just bump them off and fill in for your response.

I just want the site that I frequent far too much to be objective. At least try to act like it. Is that too much to ask?
But is it being objective when you take one QB who's coming off of a good year & use that as an example for progression than disgard the same example of another QB who had a far better year previously then had a year his results regressed? Aren't they both capable of progression or regression considering they've both shown a sample size towards that? Or are we only gonna say this guy's regressed and throw out all other factors & label him as what you guys decide? Being critical and being objective isn't just making an assumption all things are equal and this is what it is.

I think it’s a case by case basis and each one is worth discussion but I’m assuming you are talking about Beck? And that’s fair question.

But I was addressing the poster who used a 2023 example of him “vs” Williams as his ammo for why it’s even unfathomable to even ask the question of Cade vs Beck. I also think the H2H comps when talking QBs is absolutely bull**** 99% of the time but in this instance Klubnik did stink it up that game but the kid clearly improved by miles in his 2nd year full time in the system. No one on this planet would take Emory on their team over him if we had a game to play tomorrow so why even say that foolishness? Just my opinion .02

Milroe beat Beck in 2023 too, would you take him? (Not you, but the poster who poses that Emory vs Cade in 2023 comment as his premise)

For sure Klubnik? Uh, no. He doesn’t throw passes beyond 5 yards and is handheld by that staff to not overdo things.

Also, one guy was listed as the #1 QB headed into last year on NFL mock drafts and the other is Klubnik.
Beck was .3 yards per attempt more than Klubnik, but adjusted yards per attempt Klubnik blows away Beck.

Klubnik top returning QB in college football at completions over 20 yards and TD’s over 20 yards.

Klubnik Is in elite company with all Heisman winner or finalists accounting for 40+ TD’s with 7 or less turnovers while taking your team to the playoff.

Feel free to ride with a guy coming off a down year and coming back from a major injury. I’ll take the guy coming off the best year of his life, who’s also gotten better every single year.

This post went exactly the way I thought it would. A handful of guys giving a legit opinion and everyone else just commenting on how bad every quarterback is. CIS loves to tell you how every coach and player is trash but when you ask an honest opinion of who they think is good only a couple guys will respond. People here are way to scared to give positive critiques for fear of it getting thrown back in their faces by a bunch of after the fact geniuses.

Personally, don’t think there’s a surefire guy better than a healthy Beck. But who knows if his arm is ever 100% again or if some other quarterback comes out of nowhere to dominate. I’m curious if we asked this exact question last off season, how many people would have picked Carson over Cam Ward.

Agree, he is one of my favorite players in all of CFB. He flipped a switch after that Bama game and turned into an animal. Looking fwd to them slapping Clemson again.

I thought there was a slim chance we could end up playing them in a bowl game. That would have been a **** of a fun matchup to watch

I mean our defense woulda been steamrolled but…

I looked through some older recruiting rankings just for ideas of who might be around. Nothing made me think “this dudes better than Beck.” Then I started thinking of the QBs for the top dogs and had the same thought. I don’t think there’s anyone who I would rather have at this point, but I also didn’t see any QBs who I thought would be really awesome this year. This sort of led me to why I’m commenting… this is why I’ve always bought in to Mario’s approach of build from the trenches out. That’s not to say we need bro ball with a 1983 fullback. It is to say though that if you can control the LOS on both sides, you can make a fair QB look decent and a decent QB look good, especially if you have a couple playmakers.
