Kelvin Cain kinda sorta no longer on the team ????

Kelvin Cain is latest UM player to quit team in season. Judging from a player I spoke with Wednesday, he probably won't be the last.

YESSSS!!!! The remainder of the Shannon army is gonna off themselves one by one.

I was worried Golden and his staff were going to have to go all "Munich" on them this off season and eliminate them.

Guys I would like to see hit the bricks:

Robinson
Wells
White
Perry
Cleveland
Thompson

then we lose 11 seniors, which would bring us down to 62 scholarship players - 18 to get to 80, 23 to get to 85

LOL...when i read that i imagined an actual army of shannon lookalikes w arms folded, no expression, and always losing

Load up on freshmen before the sanctions hit. That's what USC did.

For that reason, I don't think we go JUCO.

I was never really a fan of David Perry...in HS, didn't see a Miami-talent kid as an end...I saw him during practices and scrimmages and he just isn't a Miami-talent kid when he was here. I haven't seen anything of him playing tight end that would've suggested he's a guy that will ever play here, there, either.

Tight End is definitely a spot where we could see some attrition. I really doubt, on a team that has sanctions looming that Miami goes into fall camp in 2013 with EIGHT scholarship tight ends. Something is going to give there. We have three kids that are going to come in and it wouldn't shock me if all three jump a current player or two right away.

Next year's senior class might be just as bad as the current one. Tons of JAGS.

Next year's class (4th or 5th year seniors):

Kacy Rodgers
Jimmy Gaines
Tyrone Cornelius
Luther Robinson
Curtis Porter
Shayon Green
Seantrel Henderson
Brandon Linder
Jared Wheeler
Dyron Dye
Stephen Morris
Eduardo Clements
Maurice Hagens

2 guys on that entire list that are worth a **** (Linder, Henderson), a guy that is worth a **** half the time (Morris), some guys that are at least trying (Clements, Hagens, Gaines, Dye) and the rest are terrible.

David Thompson?

Cleveland, I would give him one more year.

The thing with Thompson is that we'll have 6 scholarship QBs next year. That's too many when you are facing sanctions. Since Thompson has an injury and will split time between football and baseball, it makes perfect sense for him to move on. Plus we'll have Olsen and Dewey as our young QBs.

I agree on the logic (6 is too much with or without sanctions) but let's see if he ever steps on the field. I don't think it matters at the moment, he isn't on FOOTBALL scholarship now.

Something tells me one of them may transfer (Crow) soon.
