Kelvin Cain kinda sorta no longer on the team ????

Someone, maybe golden, said at the beginning of the year how the season is long and a grind, hinting that not all players have the mental makeup to make it through.

Updates made to Kelvin Cain departure story.

CORAL GABLES — Miami lost a little depth on its defensive line this bye week.
A UM spokesman confirmed to the Sun Sentinel that Kelvin Cain left the Hurricane team this week as it prepares for the final four games of the season.
Cain played in the first seven games, but not in Saturday's 33-20 loss to Florida State. Cain made 11 tackles this season including one sack. He didn't make a tackle in his last two games after making a season-high three stops against NC State.
Rumors began circulating when Cain's name was deleted from the roster on the official UM website. School spokesman Chris Yandle confirmed Cain's departure late Wednesday night.
A member of the 2010 recruiting class, Cain came to Miami from California as a linebacker. He played 10 games as a true freshman, making nine of this 12 tackles against Duke.
Cain started two games last season and had 20 total tackles. The highlight came against Bethune-Cookman when her returned an interception 59 yards for a touchdown.
A season-high six tackles in the season-ending loss to Boston College gave hope for bigger things in 2012, but the Cain didn't crack the starting lineup in the first eight games.
Now his time at Miami is over.

How many CFB squads have half the team mysteriously disappear over the course of a season? Jesus, this program was a mess. Golden must be wishing for the simple life at Temple.

Smh...never heard of so much attrition during the season

Not only was Cain not a good football player but he was also had a chump attitude. Add to the fact Golden didn't recruit him and it was only a matter of time.

Here's where the JUCO DE steps in IMO.

I like it... Sign more guys before sanctions. I mean you are TALKING about two JR who had not done a **** thing here in the past three years other than not be focused, committed, and team oriented.

I will take two Juco's and call it a night.

based on Ofacekilla's eligibility chart this puts us at 79 currently. We were at 83 after Witt's career ended. Since then Junior Alexis, Vernon Davis, Jermaine Johnson, and now Kelvin Cain have left the team.

I can't mention names but if you follow me then you know you can trust me. I also expect some transfers - nothing shocking. Evolution.

I think Jermaine just had a baby... that may be a reason he's taking some time off away from the team
