Kelvin Cain kinda sorta no longer on the team ????

Is VT honestly any better? They are the same player. Both are slow and compound it by taking bad angles to the ball. There have been numerous times where a RB has been funneled into an alley just off tackle and our S has been two slow or taken a bad angle to actually make a tackle for a minimal gain. And it hasn't been Bush.

Well if Kacy Rodgers was playing over me, I would have to believe that it was political and not because he was better. lol

It is funny...Kacy Rodgers is a Shannon guy, too. So, that boy who is complaining ain't make no cot **** sense.

Eggsactly...any player making such a claim immediately outs himself as being a loser. No coach in America sits talented kids simply because they were recruited by a previous regime. The fact is, Al is instilling a culture of accountability and work ethic. He is also getting ready for sanctions by managing his roster. Those two things mean roster attrition, which is a good thing with scholarship reductions on the horizon. It has nothing to do with playing favorites.

This Luther Robinson / Cain drama materializes a quote from T. Howard from the beginning of the season, which appears to be coming to fruition:

“This class,” five-star cornerback Tracy Howard told us earlier this summer, “has got to be the one to lead us back. Me, Malcolm Lewis, Deon Bush, Duke Johnson, we’re coming in with passion and hunger to turn things around. No disrespect to the upper classmen, but we’ve got to make things happen ourselves. We’ve got a lot of humble, unselfish guys in this class.”

Only difference is VT likes to dive at ankles and Rodgers likes to go high with a headlock technique.

***** is wise beyond his years

I know it's been said before, but let's look at the "Shannon Guys" who are A) not quitting the team like a *****, and B) getting plenty of playing time while still holding off the "Golden Guys":

Stephen Morris
Allen Hurns
Mike James
Brandon McGee
Davon Johnson
AJ Highsmith
Shayon Green
Ben Jones pre-injury
Seantrel Henderson now that he's earned it
Jimmy Gaines
Brandon Linder
Malcolm Bunche

Not to mention guys like VT, Kacy Rogers, Tyrone Cornelius, and all of our TEs who suck out loud but are STILL getting playing time either due to injury or depth issues.

So yeah, can we lock this one up yet?

Couple more: Shane McDermott, Feliciano, Jeremy Lewis, Hagens,

"One UM upperclassman called me on Wednesday afternoon – first time that’s happened since I’ve been on this beat – voicing a similar complaint. The player did not want to be named, fearing that going public would subject him to recriminations from the coaching staff. But the player said that several of his teammates feel like they are seeing their game action reduced or taken away completely based primarily on their connection with the former staff."

I wonder which bum it was

Could be Telemaque. I know he told ITU that he should have left with the rest of the Juniors after last year LOL

Left and gone where? His parents house? FCS? He certainly couldn't have meant the NFL right?

Golden has a lot of work cut out for him dealing with this bull ****.

Maybe the Shannon players should call Randy at TCU and ask to transfer there. I guarantee you Gary Patterson would veto the requests.

No offense to Shannon's kids but I can't wait for the day where every remnant of Shannon is wipes clean from Miami.

You know, I keep reading where everyone wants to run off this guy and that guy, but if scholarship reductions come, losing those guys might not mean getting a new guy, and all we are doing in putting ourselves further and further under 85 for a while.

While some of these guys certainly aren't the answer (my thoughts about the defensive talent on this team are well known), having some tackling dummies or SOMEONE to put in when the young guy in front of him gets hurt isn't such a bad thing.

Scholarship reductions usually come with a first time counters limit (reduced from the 25 normal) AND an overall limit (down from 85). So, yes, freeing up a scholarship from an older non-productive player can mean getting a younger prospect.

Well no **** its because of your connections. Most of them should have never been recruited.

Yes but before you get hit you should have the most efficient roster possible. The NCAA will not likely impose in the middle of a season, meaning 2013 Season and the 2014 Recruiting class would be when sanctions would start. The 2012 Season and the 2013 Recruiting Class should be safe. Then again the NCAA seems to be MIA when it comes to MIAMI.

In order to get as efficient as possible, kill all dead weight now and bring in replacements in this class.
