Okay getting out scored by 32 just happens. Spin awayInexcusable?
We were swimming uphill in the second half and couldn't hit shots or slow down an elite program who probably spends 20 times what we do on basketball.
That's how things go sometimes
Well, after 2 lost recruiting classes thanks to the FBI investigation that ultimately concluded with "oops, nevermind, you did nothing wrong, sorry for the inconvenience", quality depth was going to be a problem for a while. Hopefully this run will boost our recruiting and help us move forward.Lets be honest, players like Walker and Poplar should be mop up guys. The talent drop off is pretty significant after our top 7 guys.
Up to Larranaga to bridge that gap the next few years
Definitely. We just did not have any margin for error today and that’s a tough way to play.Nothing you said here is wrong...Kansas is the #3 team in the country for a reason. The disappointment comes from us not playing smart and players not showing up. It was going to be a heck of an accomplishment for us to win this game, but we did not help ourselves at all. In totality, this was a good season with a crappy ending.
You do when your game is turning the other team over and the scoring talent is on the bench with fouls…Refs were absolute trash. Not a bad take. Can't blame the refs entirely for this but they definitely contributed to us not being able to play physical defense and losing our most talented guys. However, you don't get outscored by 30 in a half because of the refs
