If only they had real good teams like, I don't know, Michigan, OSU, PSU, Michigan St.Y’all seriously want to watch us play fckn Minnesota and Indiana every year… gtfoh!!!
Absolutely, agree 100%. With Miami, Clemson, FSU, OSU, Michigan, PSU and ND, there would be enough firepower to rival the SEC. This is more of a national conference and would be more appealing then the regional SEC.I don’t know why some of you are against this. We got the academic profile of the conference and OSU/PSU every year is going to make us and the Big 10 a **** ton of money. Way more than them going to get any other school. **** we can even turn up our old rivalry with Nebraska. Let FSU bat their eyes at the SEC. We’re would finally be going to a conference that won’t treat us like a 2nd rate program because they would want us to return to form and create a 4 headed monster with PSU, OSU, and Michigan. Us going there might even tip ND that way since there’s a ton to benefit for them as well.
Yes, yes. He'll of a lot more exciting then any other scenario. We thrived in the big East and should have stayed and made it bigger and better.Just like when we were in The big East. Miami has never been viewed as a southern team. Obviously location yes but we’re in our own world. The Big 10 imo fits us much better than the SEC
Righto. This makes too much sense. The Big 10 & ACC should merge right now if they were smart
They took Nebraska and they’re not AAU
We did it when we were in the big East.PROBLEM: How does Miami figure out to play in real cold and snow several games a year?
Don't get me wromg, our Canes have a money halfback pass in the snow pass tree.
Gotta be built very different.
Yeah.Y’all seriously want to watch us play fckn Minnesota and Indiana every year… gtfoh!!!
This happening is not a pipe dream. Ppl have to start looking beyond the traditional conferences. Miami, Clem, USC, FSU etc would be dumb not to try and get ahead of what’s coming. Only one school probably could wait another expansion out and that Norte Dame.this is hilarious
Actually the comp is more than the SEC, but the real bonanza would be the money in research grants. That would be off the charts, and that is where the real money comes from to run a university. If SEC isn’t an option y’all are wild to say no to big10… $$ is big time, comp is up there with SEC. We would have a lot of big time games every single year.. Ohio st Michigan Penn st mich st etc..
Yes the cold sucks and we have struggled in the past but guess what? It’s football.
I think it depends. We’d still have our brand and the big 10 is with no question the 2nd best conference (perception is reality) in CFB. So it’s still high level football and a legitimate pathway to the CFP..tbf this all is contingent on what Clemson or FSU is looking towards doingImagine trying to recruit kids in the south to convince them to want to travel north to play BIG 10 schools every year??… We would be gifting our entire recruiting base to FSU Florida Clemson and the SEC. 🗑🗑🗑
In old big east played Rutgers and TempleY’all seriously want to watch us play fckn Minnesota and Indiana every year… gtfoh!!!
Academic wise it’s a no brainerActually the comp is more than the SEC, but the real bonanza would be the money in research grants. That would be off the charts, and that is where the real money comes from to run a university.
The academic part is major tho..I don’t think Geography will play a part. Especially for FB and BBALLIf Clemson & FSU head to the SEC, then Miami needs to find a way to join them. Big 10 money is great, but geographically it makes no sense. Suck up the pride and academic nonsense & play in what will be the top conference.
This may all be academic anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if end up with a couple super conferences of 20 schools each.
