Canes to B1G?

I don’t know why some of you are against this. We got the academic profile of the conference and OSU/PSU every year is going to make us and the Big 10 a **** ton of money. Way more than them going to get any other school. **** we can even turn up our old rivalry with Nebraska. Let FSU bat their eyes at the SEC. We’re would finally be going to a conference that won’t treat us like a 2nd rate program because they would want us to return to form and create a 4 headed monster with PSU, OSU, and Michigan. Us going there might even tip ND that way since there’s a ton to benefit for them as well.

Y’all are high off your *** if you would reject a move to big 10. They generated the most revenue of any conference in 2019 ( 60 million more than SEC and 300M+ more than ACC).

Cuz of cold weather? Lol Jesus Christ. It’s 100 times better than our ****** conference.

It’s either that or we go independent and face scheduling nightmares because everybody will be busy playing each other.
 
We should join the SEC.

The Big10 is a great conference, but Miami is not a northern team. I know that Miami sees itself as the Stanford of the South or whatever and our leadership would probably rather hobnob with the President of Michigan rather than Alabama... but I just hope our snobbery doesn't become a barrier for us.

From a recruiting standpoint, to a travel standpoint, to a money standpoint, the SEC makes way more sense. If FSU is in the SEC and Miami in the Big 10, that helps FSU recruiting-wise in my opinion. I think South Florida kids prefer the SEC.

Miami is in the Southeast. Join the Southeastern Conference if it's an option (and it would be if we wanted it). It's not rocket surgery.

I don't hate the idea of the Big 10, but I think the SEC is a better choice IMO.

If we could we would without a doubt. Big 10 would be a good back up plan if SEC says **** off, and they prob will. Don't see any other meaningful options.

How are we (or any other ACC team) getting past the payout related to the ACC media rights contract? Is everyone assuming that the conference votes to disband itself?

The rules are changing, but I doubt they change that much.

ND is not so accredited. They would take ND in a heartbeat. They would beg ND. Money is gonna talk in this. Miami brings eyes to screens. We can also afford a wrestling team if they really need that.

Stop focusing on “northern” team. Who there other than UF generates us revenue? None. What incentive does the SEC have in seeing Miami be a top tier program again? None.

We go to the Big 10 and we generate a **** ton of money playing OSU and PSU every year since we all don’t like each other. We play Nebraska every year which generates money for the conference and us being there probably tips ND into going the Big 10 as well which lead to use playing them…and generating a **** ton of money.

The SEC has no interest in us being great because they have their blue bloods already plus UT and Oklahoma while the Big 10 would be absolutely invested in seeing us become our former selves because it would create a juggernaut to combat the SEC with Us, OSU, PSU, Wisconsin, and Michigan leading the charge. There is no other school out there right now that has the potential to be able to go toe to toe with the SEC than us and they know it. They have all the reason in the world to be invested in our success.

The thought of the resurrected CANES rolling through the Big Ten and settling some unfinished business while the Gators and Noles are getting their ***** beat in the SEC ...
