Wonder what type [more Gattis hate]

Mannnn...We have a $12 Million plus payroll...Highest payroll in UM History. That combined with more than enough talent to play for the ACC Championship, and not to sh*t the bed against a team that lost to Appalachian St. at home.

We could double our payroll and it’s not going to make a difference for the talent holes we have. Look at our wide receiver corps just to start. How about our linebackers?

I was referring more specifically to when he won the Broyle’s Award. But yes, that 2005 defense still had a lot more talent than most of the teams they faced.
The defenses in 2005-2006 were still full of NFL talent.

Calais Campbell, Baraka Atkins, Jon Beason, Rocky McIntosh, Brandon Merriweather, Collin McCarthy, Kenny Phillips.

Those guys are better than almost anyone we’ve had in a decade. It’s

Lashlee‘s offense was a lot easier for everyone. Tvd is now having to process more and go through more professions. It was obvious he was unsure at times and wasn’t trusting his eyes. I said weeks ago this was a dramatic change from last year for the offense.

We have to use more Rpo and space and I believe we will. Theres no way the last two weeks is close to what this offense is. At least it better not be lol.
I watched a lot of Michigan games and while I wasn’t crazy about the Gattis hire, he has A LOT more in his play book than what we’ve seen. He used the RPO heavily at Michigan and I don’t think we’ve run a single RPO this year yet.

I have a sick feeling about Gattis. As I do with Addae. I feel like their in the same boat. I've heard that Gattis success at Michigan (Broyles) was due to Harbaugh basically being wayyy more hands on with the offense...and with Addae, that it was Kirby who really should get credit for the DB play at Georgia. Spoke to many credible people off CIS about both. I knew just who to call in ref. to Addae...and I trust them.
That's what Zach Smith, the former OSU coach said. He basically said Gattis was a horrible hire (he said exactly what you're saying btw). Tomorrow we'll probably have a pretty good idea if that's true or not.

Hopefully Addae/staff can attract the DOGS on defense we’re coaching isn’t as much of a factor

gattis when he was first hired at Michigan spoke a lot about speed, RPOs, etc. he was most successful running what Harbaugh wanted of course given their roster. is gattis running what Mario wants or is gsttis running what he wants?

Agree. And every offensive system works, it just depends if you have the cattle or not. It feels like the margins in the enos and Gattis systems are smaller, and if they don’t adjust to personnel (see Jarren Williams under centre 7 step drops with a bad Oline) then it gets ugly quick.

I am happy to be wrong, and we aren’t going to truely know for a few years . I guess I’m just going on record saying I’m not a Gattis believer and we aren’t going to see a top 20 offence under him (and Mario) at the end of any year. Even with a TVD at QB.
the systems enos and gattis (maybe Mario) want to run will not be successful overnight or for a while and depend heavily on hitting the right guys in recruiting. like you said, less margin for error. the spread offense allows you to plug and play more and w our QB room, it makes much more sense to cater to them and the roster makeup now than to force something no one is comfortable (receivers and QB)

He was a “pace and space” guy originally. The RPO was a heavy part of their offense last year though.

He better be running what Mario gives his intent on.
