Regarding Dawson, how is it an objective fact he doesn't deserve a job at the P4 level? He literally had the #1 offense in the sport.I don't see a lot of people on here saying it so I will. I think Dawson is a horrible coordinator as well with almost no feel for the actual game. He runs one of the most barebones offense and the only reason our Offense had the success it did this year is because of the natural talent of Cam (with some good WR and OL play). I don't think Dawson knows what an outside run is and with all the speed a Miami Offense SHOULD have, that should be enough to end his tenure here.
Guidry is a mess, 12th game of the season and no one on our defense can communicate a play effectively. Players at all level are constantly confused and looking around for the play. They can't correctly pass players off in zone which constantly forced us into Man-cover which allowed QB's to pick on 1,7 and 0 all season. He literally handcuffed himself into a horrible defense because he wasn't able to do what middle school coaches can.
Both of these guys do not deserve a job at the P4 level and it's and objective fact.
Cam absolutely changed plays and called his own during tempo plays.I'd love to know how many plays were changed at the line of scrimmage this season.
You can ask why - necessary or Cam just wanting to run something different.
Get me a real DT coach who kids want to play for. Joe isn’t cutting it.JT will be lone survivor and big Joe off field imo
I think the majority of fans wanted Dawson backLast year, Dawson was terrible “fire him now” this year, he’s the best there is. What changed ? Answer = players. Last year Guidry was the best “ we need to keep him, LSU is going after him, give him a raise”…what’s changed this year, same answer = players. We just don’t have enough high caliber talent, yet. I say keep staff and continue to build continuity, portal / recruit like ****.
DNich gone too?JT will be lone survivor and big Joe off field imo
Guidry will not be fired. With that being said I feel comfortable in saying he won’t be our DC either. The variables of today’s game have changed the timing of movement. It may feel like forever and a day but be patient.Absolutely no reason to keep him anymore.

Before the game would have been better!I expected it seconds after the Syracuse game ended.

Humbly I will say there’s bigger issues than just Guidry himself. Some of which he’s played a part in, some not.
The bottom line is the quality and depth of personnel is not acceptable or in line with what’s on the offensive side of the ball. Injuries played a part in that but so did roster management and talent acquisition. Your best DB was a freshman and was hurt. The expectations for guys like Porter weren’t met. Reality is he’s a complimentary guy and that was exposed. The safety play was abysmal and LB play average at best. Mix in a lack of discipline and integrity up front and you see why we’re middle of the pack in scoring defense against a weak schedule. Only 4 of our opponents finished in the top 50 in scoring offense and none were near the top. Some is scheme, much of that is depth and talent.
There’s a thread on here asking if Kam and JW would have made a difference with making the playoff. This team is 12-0 with both of them anchoring the back end without question. Could another coordinator done more with less? Maybe. But we’ve had one consistency here at Miami the last 20 years and that’s an overall lack of elite talent which seems to oscillate between both sides of the ball. The defensive side was the joke this season.
I’ll close by saying this. The inner workings of the program are still falling short of the consistent contenders. We need a GM and support staff for him who can navigate the chaos of college football rostering in 2025 and beyond. The reality is we don’t have the right guy and the responsibility allocation now isn’t going to get it done.
Get me one that makes kids fear ******** up and getting his rath.Get me a real DT coach who kids want to play for. Joe isn’t cutting it.
I’d start with the guy who was brought in to pick up much of the responsibilities Zo had. He’s a Mario loyalist who other staff members aren’t on board with.“Who is not the right guy you’re referring to?
Shouldn’t need elite talent to get a stop vs Syracuse and GT. Teams with less talent did a better job defending themGuidry will not be fired. Don’t get me wrong, not a bad guy and should have a roll. GM, football executive, or whatever terminology you want to use should not be his title.
It will be the status quo until thats changed.
