When can we expect a Guidry firing?

Last year, Dawson was terrible “fire him now” this year, he’s the best there is. What changed ? Answer = players. Last year Guidry was the best “ we need to keep him, LSU is going after him, give him a raise”…what’s changed this year, same answer = players. We just don’t have enough high caliber talent, yet. I say keep staff and continue to build continuity, portal / recruit like ****.

Our Defense issues go far beyond talent this year

I don't see a lot of people on here saying it so I will. I think Dawson is a horrible coordinator as well with almost no feel for the actual game. He runs one of the most barebones offense and the only reason our Offense had the success it did this year is because of the natural talent of Cam (with some good WR and OL play). I don't think Dawson knows what an outside run is and with all the speed a Miami Offense SHOULD have, that should be enough to end his tenure here.

Guidry is a mess, 12th game of the season and no one on our defense can communicate a play effectively. Players at all level are constantly confused and looking around for the play. They can't correctly pass players off in zone which constantly forced us into Man-cover which allowed QB's to pick on 1,7 and 0 all season. He literally handcuffed himself into a horrible defense because he wasn't able to do what middle school coaches can.

Both of these guys do not deserve a job at the P4 level and it's and objective fact.

We’re dealing with paid professional athletes. Not gonna argue about Guidry going. But today it’s beyond coaching.

Amnesia is terrible in that way, and it’s worse when you live day to day…

Edit (hit the post button too fast!):

… but you have to admit, we had a turnover machine at QB last year. This year, I believe it was more coaching than talent on D. There were games the D played great, than a total collapse the next.

A good DC would have used the talent we had this year and produced a better defense. There are defenses out there doing more with less. Either way, I don’t think we have the ability to take the risk that Guidry might somehow be good next year. His inability to make adjustments this year ruined our season and ACCCG/CFP chances. Goodbye and good riddance.

He actually had a better overall defensive unit minus the obvious 2️⃣ safeties… That doesn’t excuse countless pre snap misalignments…Fronts…DE & stiff *** #51 covering flats 😂

no its a giudry problem and he doesnt recruit hard. TVD was just that bad. it was a QB issue.

Normally I'd agree. But when our guys can't even line up or figure out assignments in November, that's bigger than a talent issue.

The issue here is that Guidry is hampering the ability to do what is highlighted above. I have a hard time believing blue-chip talent like Stubbs and Nix flipped in the final hour exclusively due to NIL deals. We were out-schemed and out-coached on defense throughout the year, and that isn't going to attract or retain talent. Think back to the D'Onofrio years under Golden. We weren't able to consistently acquire top-tier talent largely due to a lack of desire to play for a DC that was routinely out-schemed and out-coached. I do agree that the talent level isn't there in some spots and it shouldn't all fall on Guidry's shoulders. It was evident this season that Addae's recruiting misses in the secondary hurt. But change is needed after a season like this. Time to move on.

Stop creating new threads about this. You all should **** well know by now that Mario isn't going to have some dramatic GTFO announcement.

When did Steele move on? Feels like that’s the important part here
Steele to bammer article on 2/5

Guidry to Miami article on 2/7
