When can we expect a Guidry firing?

Unless you want a 5000 character rant of him calling you a dumb****, I'd sit this one out.

If he says it happens, it'll happen.
The last time I offered to bet was with the Cormani situation and I was wrong as **** lol. I figured y'all would see me as "easy money" and he was the only one to take my offer this time.... just saying! Don't accept my bet if you're not serious! And if it'll happen, why not get an easy $20?? 🤔🤔🤔

Still waiting on that info my boi. Or them feet getting a lil chilly???

Cashapp - $Page305.

I don't understand this whole desperate "look at me" nonsense, where you think I have to monitor your posts every minute, otherwise it "means something". It just means I haven't looked at this thread since I posted. Nothing personal.

I don't monitor who responds to me. I really don't care. And I sure as **** am not going to post my CashApp information on the board. For the record, I'm not even sure if I have CashApp, because I can't recall using it.

My word is bond. If you want to bet, that's fine. If I lose, I'll pay you. I paid a 20-year-old bet in 2006 that finally settled (to my college roommate from my first two years at UM).

When I win, I'll DM you my CashApp or Venmo or PayPal information. I haven't used those apps since the UM-UF tailgate, but I'll figure it out.

Everything I'm saying is meant to be read in a playful banter but I'm serious about the betting. I just like to playfully brag about guys here being scared to bet me lol

Lol trust me. It will never EVER get that serious for me. All fun and games man. Didn't mean to push any buttons.

But yeah, the bet is still on! 👍

OK, sorry if I was taken aback by multiple posts challenging whether I'm willing to stand behind my words.

We'll make a change at DC.

That's simply an incorrect opinion.

There is no logical argument against Dawson's Creek. There is only dumb hyperreactionary fan emotion, that thinks firing every Coach every offseason is some kinda quick fix-it to solve problems on the field they don't even understand to begin with.

However, it is on par for this fanbase, the same group of people who wanted Lashlee fired & run out of town, when he clearly & objectively is a phenomenal Coach & play caller.

Our fanbase wants the OC of the #1 offense fired and say "he's not good enough"

Same fanbase that wanted guys like Collin Klein, David Yost, Gattis, etc

TrumpyCane understands you fully now

At least on offense, this is always going to be a tricky situation...

If we don't have a long-time/big-name/has-his-own-system OC, then the following cycle will always transpire...

...if the offense isn't great, it's the OC's fault, regardless of whether he inherits a pick-machine like TVD...and then when the offense sets records, it is 100% due to the transfer QB...

Not sure we will EVER have an accurate system for assessing the OC, since Mario hasn't had a coordinator stay with him longer than 2 years (except for that one guy who stayed THREE whole years).

I agree with your summary, regarding never being able to know for sure where to allocate blame/praise and by how much….

Which is why I trust my eyes…. I’m not saying we should fire Dawson, I’m saying that a lot of folks on here are foolish to blindly assume that Dawson is some elite playcaller and QB whisperer. I posted over the weekend that over 60% of the plays actually run in 2024 came from Cam, not Dawson.

His run game and redzone playcalling could be a lot more creative and stress a defense, and his screen game is well below average. He’s not an OC that can level up the talent because of his schematics….

While not disagreeing, we also knew what we were getting with Cam (a creative field general with good read abilities).

I'm just pointing out, letting Cam be Cam is not a "defect" for Dawson. But it also makes my point about how tricky it is to assign credit and blame.

And I'm no super-Dawson-supporter. Just saying that Cam was special.

we literally had the number 1 scoring offense and number 1 total offense in the country.

For posterity, i just wanted to make sure i posted this in a thread where people are calling for our offensive coordinator’s head
Do you think the offense success was Dawson or more Cam. They scored but we went into serious lulls and had to have cam like performance to win some games. We will see next year who was the driver of the offense.
