We should bring back both coordinators

Coaches need to do IQ tests before getting hired. Then we wouldn't have Mario or Dawson. I know that would never happen but man it would've helped out at Miami many, many times in the past.

Lashlee, like many former Canes, became way more popular once he left

I’m in the same boat with Dawson

I’ve seen a lot of good and a lot of bad but there’s too many things I don’t know to draw too many conclusions

I don't think there was tampering or meddling until after the GT game.

The call came over the head set to kneel and we didn't do it.

I think that ****ed Mario off and he got more involved at that point. To what degree I have no idea. I think this is who Dawson is and what he likes to run - that is why Mario hired him because it was a similar philosophy. They've modified the run game a little - Dawson didn't run a lot of Duo at Houston but now we do.

I hate our personnel usage and tendencies more than anything. The University of Miami should never be in a 2 TE set with a 6th OL on the field. We're asking a WR to lead block in the run game like a TE. The usage of Horton is mind boggling because he's constantly lost. Many more examples. Then, repetitive running on 1st down. Anything short yardage we're gonna run it right up the *** of the Center. Those are not Dawson. That is Mario Cristobal.

Has there been reports he's micro-managing everything or are we just bringing up stuff we heard in the past?
 
Would be nice to be able to show recurits more than just whitebaord concepts of what the coach wants to run offensively and how they would fit for the 3rd offseason in a row compared to actually video of the scheme that is in place for them.

Agree with this. We always talk about our players not understanding our offense. It’s no wonder since the last three seasons they’ve had to learn a new one each spring/summer. Give Dawson another year and portal a good QB (Pratt/Weigman/etc.)

when I see our slot receivers motioning in multiple times a game to block a DE I just shake my head in disbelief

Dawson is no Rhett Lashlee but he's miles better than Jorsh Gattis or Dan Penos so we could do a lot worse. If we can get away from trying to be a ball control team and just run an offense that actually works, we'll be alright.

And yes, I think Dawson's change after the first 4 games is a combo of QB competence and being handcuffed.

Give both dudes control over their sides of the ball and I think the consistency will pay off next year.

I would Mario needs to decide if he going to let Dawson show what he got or let him leave because you can’t hire someone and then try to do there job

This is absolutely scheme, nothing the players can do here. Dawson's adjustments have been non-existent for the better part of the last 6 games.

This is what gets me. Why haven't we seen the scheming of guys open like we saw multiple times in the red zone vs A&M? It's like after the first four games Dawson threw his playbook away and pulled out a more basic boring one for conference play.

Add in he does use TE's or running backs in the passing game. Uses one slow developing run play with absolutely no draws or true screen plays. Has he ever heard of changing tempo? Lastly the red zone offense is a complete disaster. Dawson also called the run against G Tech.

Dawson's offense can only go to the next level with a QB who can consistently pick up 5 to 7 yards with his legs, especially, on 3rd downs.

Without that type of QB it's nothing to write home about
