Haven’t gone to Gator Tears lately. Are you being insufferable over there lol? … I’m not a Lageay fan. Think he’s not even close to as good as the hype. Will be interesting to see how he turns out next season.

So between the classes of 2022 & 2023, which are supposed to be our upperclassmen leaders for the 2025-26 season, Mario’s HS & Portal evals are hitting at a 26.2 hit rate, which is on par with the data I provided in the “Mario Recruiter” thread during his time at UO.

He’s a 1/4 success rate w/ a 3/4 attrition/non-impact rate. I expect more portal casualties which will skew these numbers further. It’s also why for the 1st time since I started following recruiting, I was very numb b/c so far, we’re not stacking classes, we’re bleeding them.

not even Oline bc I heard that the previous class keeps scaring the next class

Even at DE we have had major attrition. Kelly, Acheampong, and Wayne gone from the 22 and 23 classes. I 100% agree on your overall point. Here is another thing to remember. To have a well functioning program you need a solid two deep which is 44 players. Spread over 3 or 4 classes, that means every class needs 11 contributors from it. Yes that’s a reductive breakdown but that’s the goal you are shooting for. So if you sign 25 then 8 being starters or next in line to start and have little drop should be the target which is a 33% hit rate.
