***THE DEFINITIVE PLAYOFF THREAD***

That’s what’s got me worried too. However, last year wasn’t FSU favored over Alabama on the betting sites up until like the half hour before the final rankings reveal show? That’s my recollection
Can’t remember tbh. I hate that school with a passion but that was ridiculous haha

bias but UM vs PSU or ND would be way more exciting then watching Bama spam QB run 20 times against 2 of the best defenses in the country
Can you imagine if somehow PSU beats Oregon and Miami has to go to Oregon for the first round.....

Draftkings just dropped Miami from +800 to make the playoff to +700 in the last hour.

South Carolina's odds have also shifted dramatically, from +370 yesterday afternoon to now +700.

Bama still a favorite at -250. Ole Miss has not moved, they're still the longest shot at +2200.

I still don't get the Bama love other than "they're Bama", but whatever. Maybe if Texas absolutely blasts UGA, it makes that win look worse and they do move again next week, but chances are slim to none on that. If they stick them at #11 tonight, they're in with a SMU win. Would be really gross. They lost to a 6-6 team by 3 scores where they scored THREE points literally 10 days ago.

The 5 seed is either going to be Notre Dame or Oregon.

Which matchup sounds most appealing to viewers?

South Carolina @ Oregon/Notre Dame
Ole Miss @ Oregon/Notre Dame
Alabama @ Oregon/Notre Dame

Notre Dame and Al Golden hosting those evil Miami Hurricanes
Cristobal returning to Oregon

NOBODY is interested in watching USCe.
Ole Miss doesn't exactly have the largest fan base.

Alabama Notre Dame would probably see big numbers. But Alabama sneaking in is not going to be well received. People have grown tired of that ****.

Let's be real here. People enjoy offense and want to watch us lose.

I really hope folks don’t get their hopes up. They screwed FSU last year because they lost a qb (not a game) with this same Alabama program. The system will gladly do the same to us.

They’ve been wanting us to be in it all year. We and Cam are amazing for ratings if it happens

I’m sure on Saturday some of them were looking around like “you’re killing me smalls”
Josh Pate said he looked at his phone and saw the score 42-38 and thought it was for a basketball game....

Can say with full honesty, if Bama at 9-3 with two of the worst losses of any top 20 team gets in over us I will not watch a ******* second of the playoffs. Just call it the SEC/B1G invitational and drop the facade. It’s a joke.

I really don’t get it either. They’ve had really bad losses. Take away the name and they are in a completely different tier.

Bama getting in over FSU last year has me thinking two different ways - either the committee has shown that they’re obsessed with bama and they’re obviously in again, or they let them slide in last year somewhat questionably and couldn’t possibly do it again.

Bama travels way better. Some of you guys are confusing us being back when we are still in the wilderness.

Well yeah, do you know how much easier it is when you don’t even have to leave your house to travel?

We actually aren’t a bad traveling fan base either. Not saying we’re BAMA or any of these Southern schools. But although we cannot pack the home games but have shown up on the road.

One bad loss shouldn't disqualify you, but a TERRIBLE loss (Oklahoma) and another really bad loss (Vanderbilt) combined with a 3rd OK loss (Tennessee) absolutely should.

Put South Carolina in over Bama. Lost by 3 early to LSU when their QB got hurt. Did get killed by Ole Miss, but Ole Miss is also in consideration for one of these spots. 2 point loss at Bama. Won 6 games in a row to end the year. But they didn't lose to anyone horrific, and the one game they did lose to an average team, their QB got hurt and they were up 17.

I could stomach seeing us behind them tonight. But not Bama. Bama is literally only in this discussion because they're Bama, which is bull****. Swap Bama and South Carolina's resume and NOBODY is pushing for South Carolina to get in. Not a soul.
