Someone Who Knows Things

2005 was the last year in my view when we really had elite talent. That defense especially was really good for much of the year. NFL guys all over

They were #3 going into that Gatech game. Then,... the program fell off a cliff
Ya Ian ready bought my acc championship tickets

I really think that watching some of last years games that our Safety play was atrocious. The constant jumping routes and getting beat over the top in several instances cost us 3 games. Hopefully Powell and Harris or whoever is playing don't try and play hero ball.

The D-Line is going to be able to rotate and wear out other teams. I think we are legit 3 deep on the line this year.

The depth on O is so much better than it has been in several years. I think we are going to average close to 40 a game this year.
i agree. see this recap

and it hasn't recovered. what an awful run.

We have gone yearssss where we couldnt get a backup QB reps or young guy reps in games.. I know because Me and a partner of mine used to be the ONLY one in our crew who would stay and watch those games to see some freshman get time.

Plus there is pros and cons to everything Mario ball will be tuff n fizical, he will bang his team up and probably be down his best players but they will go into columbus shoe and take a W. But a couple weeks later playing mario ball and one mistake and you are in dog fight and get clipped by 3 win stanford or GT trying to be "methodical" (his words)

Hopefully someone like Orgeron let him know how he had to loosen up in 2019 when he had the team and let everyone know PRESEASON they were gonna sling that pill around as they ditched bro style.. Everyone was skeptical til they went into Austin and it was 3rd and 17 and most expected draw and punt play defense. Even LSU fans were skeptical of embracing wide open offense, that changed QUICKLY. With Kirk saying "and THAT is the difference at LSU!"

I've said numerous times over Twitter that this is the season where Mario has to be 2019 Orgeron and let Dawson be his Joe Brady. Yeah, Air Cristobal this sunnaofagun to the ACC title and beyond

I might be in the minority but I always like having one FAMU-type of blowout game, so we could see the youngsters get some snaps. See what we had for the future. Those games are actually fun and relaxing(if you're any good and you put teams away in the first half)

The one thing I don't want to hear from Mario is how he loves our physicality, while we put up like 3 points in a half ( like last years NC State debacle). What I want to here is, "I love the fact we have 31, but we aren't stopping till we get 60."

Game management is also about attitude and philosophy in my view

BTW, that LSU-Texas game was on the same night as our 4th and 19 meltdown vs UNC in Manny's second game. I remember being at Barney Beanery for the Miami game watch, and I kept seeing those big strange numbers next to LSU, and I was thinking, ''what is going on there"?

One of my favorite games ever. I remember College Gameday picking VaTech. All of ESPN just raving about VaTech, Lane Stadium, Marcus Vick. And then we kicked the **** out them in the Storm Troopers
Except corso. He went against the grain. “Poor Miami” he kept saying, before picking us.

But, but, but Kam and JW were studs. Kam gambled for INTS way too often and as a result gave up a lot of big plays and TDs. JW just doesn't have it between the ears...always a 15-yard penalty waiting to happen.

I actually think our safety play will be better this year because we have guys who seem to play within the system...they may not be the most talented, but within our DL and LBs they don't have to be. Just execute within the defense and we'll be fine

I heard that too. I'm pretty sure the ITU guy, Chris Stock, reported it on his post-practice podcast yesterday. Just remember that Markeith is playing against Poff and Emory plus a young group of receivers primarily.
Yea I figured that. It’s progress nonetheless, I really want to see him make a jump.

Safety is a position like corner where the majority only notice the bad and the only good u notice is a pbu or int

Yall are underrating kam and james to cope for the unknown. I think powell is better than james tho and it should be a smooth transition but him or harris aren’t close to kam in anyway..Which isn’t a horrible thing kam was a top100 player in the draft and one of the best safeties in cfb both of his last two years

Kam was terrible....singled handily lost us a few game. And the games he made plays in it did not matter!!

This was the biggest thing that stood out to me about Michigan last year, they basically made no mistakes all year. I don't think any Big 3 Florida team has played that clean a season this century. We probably need more breathing room.

The physicality Mario is gonna need to learn to like is power spread throw-to-run that forces the other team to put extra DBs on the field and then those DBs get to have fun tackling Martinez.

Don't need phonebooth stuff with Restrepo pretending to be a blocking TE.

Didnt he have a pick 6 in a UVA game where we looked like **** and went to OT? That would be 2 ACC wins all year
All you guys got is the 1 game he gambled and won....how bout all the games we lost because of the BS renegade I do what I want to because I was an all american. Tell me this if Kam was so good why did he not get drafted on the first day of the draft?
