Some Spring thoughts

Bunche IMO could supplant one of our two starting guards. He gives us the ability to push guys off the ball which is one of the main problems we had with our interior linemen last year. In regards to Wheeler, I would start him ahead of McDermott in a heart beat!!

Linder did not have a great year for us last year, and really needs to consider moving to center.

Flowers, Bunch, Linder, Feliciano, Henderson should be our starting five. Gadbois could be our swing tackle this year. Wheeler and McDermott could provide help on the inside rotation.

Couldn't be further from the truth. We got a ton of push from our OG's. Feliciano absolutely mauls people and Linder always grades out as one of our top O-linemen.

Yeah, Bunche has ZERO chance of replacing Linder or Feliciano. I feel for the kid because he seems like a hard worker and is actually a decent enough player, but he has two future NFL tackles in front of him in Flowers and Henderson. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get some PT as a "TE" in Unbalanced sets.

I'm going to regret asking this for sure but in regards to Wheeler....what makes him better than Shane McDermott? Also some game footage would really solidify your claim that he is in fact better.

I don't know anything about Wheeler vs. McDermott.

The question was directed to Epsilon06 not you sorry about that.

Right now I'm not worried about Williams and Grey.

Morris stays healthy this year, then they both know it's time to get it done.

Sometimes, a player is thrown into the arena, sure to lose, and kills every damned lion. When you're so far back nothing you do will get you in the game, you're maybe motivated, but only when it's YOUR turn, do you get bone-deep serious. We're pretty much all that way.

Let's see how they play before we all get on our hands and knees and start pukin'.

I think the love affair with Bunche has to do with his stature rather than his actual performance because he's really not that good of a lineman IMO. He might be the fourth best OL we have on the starting line-up. He was beaten around the edge plenty of times last season. He's not horrible or anything, I just don't think he deserves the praise that he gets on here. People are getting all excited cause he played some guard this spring but they forget that we already have two outstanding guards. (who go under-appreciated if you ask me) People act as if he's simply going to destroy people at guard because of his size but the starting LG we have already destroys people on the regular and our RG is a pure technician. Bunche isn't as talented as Linder or ferocious as Feliciano. He's also not on Henderson's level and definitely not as athletic as Flowers, who I think is our most physically gifted lineman. He's the odd man out.

Last year McDermot required alot of help in blocking his man. Wheeler has been balling this spring, and seemed to be able to handle his man one on one. Wheeler is about two inches and 20lbs bigger than Mcdermott, but he also moves well for a guy his size. Look at some of the screen plays we ran this spring. This spring Wheeler, Bunch, And Flowers where the most consistent guys on the oline IMO.

In regards to Feliciano, he is a great pulling guard. He mauls people in that regards. But last year him, Mcdermott, and Linder had problems pushing the interior on straight up run plays. Bunche brings the ability to push guys off the ball. He can't pull like Feliciano, tha's why i would like to see Linder moved to center. Mcdermott is the odd man out.

Well for starters we run alot of zone blocking schemes so you won't see any center working by himself generally speaking. Shane clearly beat Wheeler out last fall for the starting spot and unless Shane doesn't come back from injury he should have the spot come next fall. His biggest advantage over Wheeler is that he moves better. Shane is pretty good at spiking the 3 on the outside zone plays that Miami loves to run. I don't have anything against Wheeler I just don't see him being better than Shane.

In regards to the guard spots, I see Bunche turning into Jeremy Lewis next year and coming in every few series. He is not going to help you on power because he doesn't move like Mongo or Linder. He isn't a bad player, just not better than the other 5.

Lmao. No they didn't! Especially not Feliciano. He consistently put interior D-linemen on skates. Feliciano and Linder are the highest grading linemen on our team. SMH

When running the zone...there's nothing wrong with a double team. Take care of the frontline before working to backers.

This right here

+1000000000.

I think it speaks to how talented this line, and not to Bunches deficiencies. He'd be a starter at 95% of schools, if not more.

I think you all are going to be surprised how high Morris ends up getting drafted. 6"2 QB's with above average speed and rocket launchers on their shoulders dont grow on trees.

REALLY....

kid has an ARM....just naturally....some nfl gm is going to want to develop that....right now imo if he has a solid to good season he is off the boards in the first 3 rounds...

Stephen Morris is head and shoulders better than EJ MANUEL.

If Morris has a solid to good season, he's going in the first round. I think we underestimate the emphasis that teams put on the QB position.
