Some Spring thoughts

McCord didn't put on as much size as I would've liked. As D$ mentioned he still gets handled at the point of attack.
 
SMH. Jesus. All he said was that Morris made some Aaron Rogers-like throws. There's nothing false about that. He didn't say Morris was Aaron Rogers.

Man, Chill out. He didn't say Morris was like Rodgers just that Morris spun the ball in there on SOME passes ala Aaron Rodgers.

You can go back to jacking it to your Rodgers poster while chanting, "discount double check."

If i had to compare SM to any NFL qb it would be AR. I dont know if he will be a good as him, but I will say this. Both were born into this world to spin a football.
 
Nothing false about overthrowing your wide open wr 80% of the time too. Something that happens more often than an "Aaron Rodgers type throw"

Yeah, he's not ready at all. He gets handled in the run game, looks lost in coverage and he's pedestrian in the pass rush. I don't think it's anything to worry about though. He's a freshman and on a team with adequate depth he'd probably be a redshirt.

But that's not up for debate. Nobody is talking about that. That would only be something you would bring up if he said Morris is Aaron Rogers. He didn't. He said he made some Aaron Rogers-like throws. Nobody's talking about his over-throws. SMH

but everyoneis making it sound like he's about to enter the season as a fuggin heisman hopefull. It's not just that post about the throw. It's the comparison to Rodgers above (not from d), the countless threads on Morris lately. It's how everyone is talking about him lately. It's almost delusional. Makes me wonder how crazy you'll all go when we get an above average qb...

I wish Crow and Williams had some time with the 1st team ol to judge them better

Yeah, just based on what was displayed by the backup QBs yesterday. 2014 could be a year where we have everything we need except a competent QB
 
i think we looked pretty good D line was more active, dortch looks good just cant miss tackles but duke is good lol. dwayne hoilett looks good. overall we look talented and i think the team can go as far as they want to, looks more like a classic canes team with all the 2 bar rb facemasks out there i like it. we have team speed talented defensive backs and playmakers. muhhamed will be a beast and artie burns and jamal carter will definetly help us out things are looking up praise god
 
I think sometimes fans can forget quickly how bad qb play has been at miami before Morris. I liked that Morris didnt turn the ball over and I didnt have to squint at every throw over the middle of the field like a former battered women. I also know morris had his erratic moments but those are things he can work on and the spring and summer is when you do it. Has to be a conscious effort for him because he is not naturally accurate. But From what I saw over the spring I think we will be very happy with Morris during this season. AND we better enjoy it because at the moment the QBs backing him up will have us wishing for the Morris days every game come 2014.

With Morris its the little things and I think he has improved on it, the little swing screen to WR are passes that you see Morris sprays the ball. he hit them in stride most times I saw this spring. Also the mid range passes he seemed to have more touch and accuracy. I dont need Morris to be like anyone else, but if he can improve just a tad on the things like touch and accuracy I am excited to see how much he and this offense grows

Spring is always an offensive showcase. However, this team looks different as far as size. They are starting to look like men. Personally, I think AQM might be the gem of this class. Also, everyone seems to sleep on jamal carter. We had more 4 star recruits than most of the teams ranked ahead of us on rivals.
 
In every video i watch McCord is not playing real physical. I know he's still maturing tho.
 
i think artie burns could start at corner this year for us honestly with gunter on the other side and bush and jenkins thats pretty nasty and jamal coming in to tracy looks good to there is alot of talent to choose from which is awesome the best and most consistent will rise to the top
