Dear God are you clowns really gonna act like you understand football more than Sean spence?
It comes down to toughness, tackling , playing physical. Which coach is at fault there? Hint, his name rhymes with swasey
Are you going to act like you understand football more than Eric Winston or Duane Starks? What makes Sean Spence's opinion more valuable?
Sean Spence actually played for the man.
1. Are you saying we're doing the exact things right now that we were doing when he played for him?
2. Are you saying that Eric Winston or Duane Starks can't trust what they see because they didn't play for a coach?
3. More than that, are you saying that Sean Spence has some unique knowledge of our situation? He's watching games (presumably) and giving an opinion. Look at his quote:
“I don’t know if its misfits or guys missing tackles. I know the tackling system they go through every day in practice and that system shouldn’t create problems like that.”
yes, playing for D'onfrio for a year, being in meetings and being part of his game planning for a year makes Sean's opinion more valuable when forming an opinion on him as a D coordinator. And as the article states, when he did play for him and had 5-6 NFL caliber upperclassmen playing with him(Sean, Rayray, Forston, Olivier, Vandyke, Mcgee), D'onfrio ran a D ranked 17th in scoring.
Its Jim's and Joe's that matter more then X's and O's. This saturday we will be playing the worse team in the ACC and will have a DT starting for us that couldn't break the starting line up for them in 4 years…. That alone says a little something about our current talent level
not saying He gets a pass and the D isn't underperforming, but its more a talent issue right now. Corch Shannon was a genius when he had a D full of pro bowlers and now he's the LB coach for a team losing by 40 points every Saturday….
First of all, Spence said glowing things about every one of his coaches. That's the type of guy he is. All of 'em had problems.
Direct questions: should our defense, with our current talent, have performed better against VTech and Duke? Is our talent at least comparable to some of the teams those two teams have played?
