What about Venice, Sarasota, or god forbid....Windermere? Do any of those kids get homesick, or are we letting UF have them because that's not traditional UM territory?

Brad Zunica was a big and highly regarded kid (from Bradenton) and he either got homesick or fell out or wasn't good enough.

Nobody is saying we shouldn't recruit those kids. The point is the fall out rate represents a higher risk a a percentage of kids that we recruit. Dade kids are less likely to flake or feel left out. They've been the backbone of our program forever.

Jagr was laughably inaccurate in this original post.Having a big name doesn't mean you're chalk. Texas A&M and Florida State were not chalk. Far from it. Anybody who followed the sport this year knew that.

Tiny also tried to deflect the fact that we regressed due to injuries and the fact that players like Collins were no longer here to protect the current players in the line up. Well, we have a hitting coach and it is his job to have the players ready.

Take Collins, Abreu and Hayward out of any lineup in America and that offense won't be as good and the surrounding players will see less pitches to hit and will suffer statistically. They could be coached by God himself. Doesn't matter.

You also asked if Jim Morris would be a top candidate for a job given his track record over the last decade. I then showed you that he's a top 9 or 10 coach in that period.

Jim Morris isn't top anything at this point. From 1994-2001 college baseball was his *****. He was the top dog. No one can touch him during that stretch. Since then, the program he leads has coasted on reputation. Unfortunately that complacency led to his team missing the tournament.

Is 16 years a big enough sample size? In 16 seasons, we missed the CWS 10 times, and our best CWS performance in the other six years is 1-2.

And the "best" CWS program during that time missed it 9 times.
