New Penn State DC Mandy Diaz Press Conference

This is so Manny

Uses the same or similar variations of this speech for EVERY DC position he's been FIRED from.

SOME THINGS AND PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE

He will use the same defense he's always used.
He will have some initial success
Other programs will quickly adjust..but Manny won't.
Manny will make many promises introduce some new meaningless wrinkle.
Manny will be totally exposed AGAIN
Manny will be called a fraud and FIRED AGAIN

ALL OF THIS will happen within 1 maybe 2 years like clock work.

In truth, his future just like everyone else's is in his own hands...opportunities in life are limited...make the most of them when they come. Change Adapt or.......Don't

I wish everyone the best. It's up to them whether or not it happens
I think he’ll adapt this time, for the reasons that you’ve stated near the end of your comment.

With his elite level of politicians bull****, he will be running for office in the not too distant future.

Glad to see the holiday season has put a pause on the pettiness of treating Coach Diaz like a rag doll simply because he had the audacity to accept a job for life changing money which was way over his head.

I stopped watching Manuela Diaz’s press conferences after 2019, literally haven’t seen a single one, whether it be post game or Spring camp/ Fall camp interviews, since the FIU game I was finished listening to him talk.

There’s not enough money you could pay me to watch anything he has to say as a fckin D Coordinator for Penn St.

So his internship at Miami got him an upgrade from temple to psu. Not bad for a true “blue” cane still landed in Pennsylvania. Did he pack the chain?

Yay, penn st will now get a TO paw or maybe a TO tail!

He has a noted trend at both his last two major stops (us and Texas) of starting out strong and fading once existing talent left by prior coaches flushes out and opposing teams have a couple years to digest his defense. This implies weaknesses at evaluation and some failure of adaption/evolution as well on his part.

I think PSU will follow a similar pattern. They’ve recruited well defensively, but it won’t take much for their recruiting to fall off a tad and we know Manny can’t really be leaned on to build a defense himself. Remember that a lot of people give Brent Pry a lot of credit for Franklin’s success as an HC thus far.

3-4 years from now I think The Díaz hire will be considered a part of Franklin’s demise.

They better hope they have a good LB room....because once Manny starts recruiting that's as good as it's going to get.

Defense got better here when he was a DC and had talented linebackers.

Soon as the recruits ran out, he struck out. Was smart enough to get Rhett Lashley, whose offense did put up a lot of points and made a third string QB rookie of the year.

I've been on record saying that I didn't think Manny was 'The Guy', but he could be 'the guy before The Guy', like Holtz was before Schnelly.

Watching Mario immediately start recruiting literally right off plane when he came to Miami was Schnelly like. Schnelly absolutely got after it in recruiting.

If we can build a high octane staff around a guy like that, look out. There is a reason why certain college football pundits are clutching their pearls.

Not one question about his defensive rankings this year and how his defensive rankings have continued to plummet even from the Richt days.

Based on his resume as a D coordinator, he isn’t qualified to run PSU defense.

Probably Franklin doing him a favor and Manny will likely be following Franklin’s lead on defense.
