He has no explosion off the ball at all. He is consistently getting blown off the ball and making plays due to lack of pass rush. He has great lateral quickness though which he looks like a linebacker at times. Overall this a reach and fail by the staff.
Wait, if you are correct, he fits the scheme perfect. 1) get blown off ball. 2) Make plays after 8 yard gain because of no pass rush 3) DL chases rb or WR on sideline pass routes. Amazed he is still available. Wait, the rest of college football is trying to STOP the other team before they gain 8 yards. We ahead of the curve, on the cutting edge of the new age defense which focuses on exhausting the other team by letting it gain more yardage than they are conditioned to handle.
