More words of Wisdom off the insidetheuboard by coach No d

I think golden is serving his purpose here which is recruit bring in better talent. I dont think golden is a championship caliber coach and there aint nothing wrong with that. Golden throughout his career just gets outcoached too much especially in big games. Even at temple when they had the best team in the mac golden was outcoached in a couple big games and his team chocked and never won the mac.

You say this without understanding circumstance.

It's you who don't understand circumstances. That's why you run and hide when asked questions about your beliefs.

so is a top 15 D not considered a good defense? i just want to make sure i'm understanding that correctly.

Is manny hazard the greatest wr in NCAA history? That's what the stats say? Would you take manny hazard over randy moss? That's stats say hazard was a better wr.

To answer your question....temples defense was decent not good. They never beat anybody good, stopped a great offense nor did the perform well against the better teams/ offenses in the Mac.

They didn't beat anybody good? They beat UCONN by two TD's who happened to win the Big East that year and played in a BCS. And what happened when Golden and Coach D left Temple? It's once again the dumpster fire it's always been that's what.

Temple was the worst D1 program in the entire nation when Golden took over. By the time he left Temple would have curb stomped Radio's Canes. Think about that for a second.

I don't care how coach d sounds. If you can't teach something it means you don't understand it well enough.

Can you please list all of the elite talent on last years defense that Coach D was supposed to have taught some miracle to? As the talent increases so goes the defense.

I know fans want an elite defense overnight but unfortunately this rebuild is taking time. Fans joke about "Brick by Brick" but that is exactly how this rebuild is being handled. From the ground up on solid foundation.

Despite what fans want to think the talent level at Miami had become a joke by Miami standards. I think the coaching staff did a great job with 9 wins this past season considering what they had to work with.

If anybody thought Miami had a shot at beating Louisville in the bowl game then they are just retarded. That's on them as being delusional fans. The coaches have no control over unrealistic expectations. You don't snap your fingers and have a championship football program. Doesn't work that way.

The wins have increased and this past recruiting class was Goldens best yet. This next recruiting class can be even better. The defense will get better and better which will push the offense as it does. Patience....

We didn't "lose" to Louisville; we got absolutely embarrassed. Sorry, but there is no credible excuse for that abysmal performance in our first bowl game in three years.

And I was one of the minority on this board that did not expect us to win that game. I had the rather limited expectation that we would be prepared and play well, but would likely come up short in the end bc Bridgewater is a stud.

Louisville was a better team from top to bottom. Did I want a better showing out of Miami? Sure I did. Unfortunately things didn't go our way.

Again, name all of this elite talent on last years defense that coach D was supposed to work miracles with. I look down the defensive depth chart from last season and thought things could have been worse especially when Duke went down for the season. Scott was injured early. Dorsett missed games?

Most rational fans knew the offense would have to carry the team. They also knew if Duke went down the season was over. Then you throw in a QB that lived and died by the long ball and was terrible at sustaining drives and it is what it is.

The defense is getting better and will continue to do so as more talent gets to Miami. I'm enjoying watching the young guys grow up. Another recruiting class or two and Coker or Shannon could coach this team to 10 wins.

I never said we had a bunch of elite players on defense. In fact, I was one of those saying before last season that our talent and depth were still weak, particularly at the most important position - DT. Regrettably, that problem will persist for the foreseeable future bc of our recruiting failures.

But regarding Louisville, we got abused in all phases. Our offense was pathetic and unable to adjust to the most basic challenges - the DL jumping the snap and them dancing around while Morris looked to Coley for a play call. Those failures were inexcusable.

Similarly, our defense got embarrased.

The entire team was unprepared. We got beaten worse than the vast majority of the teams Louisbille played last year. That horrendous performance is attributable to more than the lack of elite defensive talent or any injuries. We got out coached.

Dt depth is weak due to golden inept recruiting at that position.

Uconn was 8-5. Since when did somebody blow off fireworks ( besides you) for beating a 8-5 team?

And yea...he would have stomped Shannon's canes the same way he stomped Villanova. Lmao. Or any team in the Mac with a winning record.

Expect a competent (a freaking top-40) defense in year 3 is unrealistic?!?!

Plus, this its up to the players BS can´t be used in year 3, period! You must be related to Coach D or one of Miami people Yandle send to patrol message boards. Like someone said, you must be trolling...

LMAO

No troll here. I love how you clowns put a time frame together as if it means anything. Did the same thing to Butch while he was building the greatest CFB team ever assembled and then wonder why he bounced. Just history repeating itself with our stupid *** fans. Instant gratification know nothings.

The only here is you, butt hurt re-negger!!

We'll just agree to disagree. I've seen stupid asses like you change your entire tune once the program starts rocking again. All of you were on your knees ready to lick the dingle berrys out of Goldens *** crack after beating UF and starting the season 7-0. Then the injuries started mounting and lack of depth showed its face and you clowns turned on him like the fakes you are.

Guess what? It was the schemezzz that got Miami to 7-0 last season. Think about that for a second mope.

Garbage schedule/ teams got Miami 7-0.

Whatever suits your BS argument. Go 7-0 and everybody sucked. The Gators didn't suck until Miami broke their *** off and sent them spiraling. That ****** schemezzz you clowns ***** about won that UF game with 5 turnovers and a crucial 4th down stop. Lord knows it wasn't the offense that got completely shut down all of the second half that did it.

But carry on with anti Miami hatred. It's all good the mopes around here got your back big dog. You're just keeping it real.

Look at this critical thinker, proving points with outliers. Fine. Please cite some other games where Temple's defense beat a respectable team. If you can only find one, i.e. UConn, then there is a good chance that it was an anomaly. Their defense at Temple fed off of atrocious offensive teams, similar to how we went 7-0 by feeding off atrocious teams.

Yeah, they didn't suck before they played us. The Gator's offense wasn't an abortion before they played us. They didn't have their entire OL out for the spring. Will Muschamp was putting out some potent offenses before we sent their program in this spiral you speak of.

I didn't dodge anything. Your post was filled with the same excuses, which lack any sort of depth or deep thinking.

You actually tried to argue that Miami fans are impatient, after the program has been in disarray since 2003. Seriously, think about that ridiculous assertion before you open your mouth again, troglodyte.

6 wins, 7 wins, 9 wins
Recruiting classes are getting better and better. If you don't like then haul *** losers. Gonna gripe about not getting such and such recruits while you spit on the coaching staff? Trolls

I don't care what the helmet says even if it's just plain like yours. When you amass more talent than anyone else in your league you are expected and should win said league.

Golden did a great job amassing talent but he clearly choked in years 4 and 5. They honey moon was over after year 3 and most everyone picked temple to win the Mac in Goldens last two years. Not only did he not win, he choked and never beat a team with a winning record.

Don't get mad at me. Get mad at golden.

Temple didn't have a single 4 star or above on the entire roster. They had maybe one or two 3 stars. Where's all this talent they amassed that you speak of? What a load of horseshyte!

Golden turned a bunch of players that nobody had ever heard of into a football team that would have spanked Radio's Canes. It's amazing that people who do this for a living speak glowingly of Golden but some butt hurt agenda driven stooge on a message boards knows best?

Like I said, most of you were ready to slob Goldens rod your throats after UF and the 7-0 start. Now he's trash? What a bunch of mopes! Or trolls

You do know in 8 years as a d-coord d'onofrio has only had 1 solid defense and golden in over a decade as a d-coord and head coach has only had 2 solid defenses. And golden career rank for defense is like 69th.
