Golden's First True Senior Class

Just like last year it all comes down to the QB. If Morris wasn't god awful, Golden would have much greater standing.

This isn't true. It all comes down to the defense. Each and every loss last year was attributable to the defense.

This isn't true. As usually is the case, a myriad of factors contribute to losses. Offense unable to sustain drives and convert on 3rd downs was equally attributable to losses as the defense.

Florida State- 517 yards
Virginia Tech- 549 yards
Duke- 543 yards
Louisville- 554 yards

There's always blame to go around after a loss. But everybody watching the games knows the biggest reason we are losing.

they were both equally horrific and the defense definitely paid the price for the offenses inefficiency

If everyone means a your average Joe than yes. But even you're average Joe would look at the 7 points put up by the offense vs UL and attribute that loss equally on the offense. Gotta question your football acumen if that's the depth of your analysis into wins and losses.

What about Duke and Virginia Tech? Miami passed all over those teams and still lost.

The offense was good this year because we've recruited well there. The 2010 class had a bunch of offensive guys who will play in the pros. But the 2010 class was a nightmare on defense, and Golden's staff has struggled recruiting and developing front seven players. That's why you see so many 500+yard disasters.

Oh FFS, nobody's claiming the defense was good let alone Oregon good. But if your defense is weak, the offense has to be able to take some of the pressure off by sustaining drives. And our offense failed miserably at that.

Two biggest games for the Coastal title:

Virginia Tech
-Virginia Tech had the 4th best defense in the country
-We put 24 points on them

-Virginia Tech had the 101st worst offense in the country
- We gave up 549 yards and 42 points at home, in a monsoon

Duke
- Our offense totals 565 total yards, 30 points, and only 1 turnover

- Duke's 47th ranked offense totals 543 yards (358 on the ground) with 48 points and 0 turnovers.
