My agenda is to judge a coach based on performance over a time period. In general, I think it takes a coach 4 years to really build a body of work to be fairly judged upon. If we went off of an illogical Canes view on this (aka...you), many great coaches wouldn't have lasted at any stop, including Jimmy Johnson and Butch Davis at Miami. You need to allow a coach time to recruit his players that are best suited to his philosophy. Judging a coach based on a class he had no time to assemble is absurd. But then again, this is coming from a bunch of posters like you...so I guess that's about right.

This is the year Golden needs to start showing something. By the time Duke's class gets into its 4th year, to me the excuses are all gone. Show it on the field or find another job.

Let's take a step back and honestly look at who from South Florida Golden has successfully recruited. Chick and Perryman were coming here if you were coaching, same with Duke and KC. Bush and Howard were good pulls, I will give him McCord also. Coley is all Donnell Bennet, my man lost his job over it. Yearby would be at FSU if Coley was still there. If you take Goldens balls out of your mouth and put his **** back in your *** where it belongs, you can objectively see that your boy has missed out on a lot more talent than he's landed in the tri-county. I actually think Golden is a good recruiter and could have cleaned up if it weren't for "the cloud".

To your ****** point, yes Golden has "landed" some good talent, enough so that its pretty ridiculous that his record is no better than Radio's who was probably the worst recruiter we've ever had. If Golden had gotten ALL the kids he should have, this would be a championship roster that even Dorito couldn't **** up.

He won 9 games with as bad as a senior class that you will ever see. An upgrade senior class plus healthy Duke and Bush and a more experienced anphysically and mentally Coley, Howard, McCord, AQM, Figs, Kamalu and they'll sleep walk to 10 wins.
