Was Duke a top 25 when we played them?
Was Syracuse a top 25 when we played them?
Was UF a top 25 team when we played them?
Was GT a top 25 team when we played them?

Like what-in-the-fck do u guys be watching? Like dead ***. Were we the favorites in every single game this year?

U do realize OSU were favorites vs. UO today, right? Why in the FCK would Vegas odds makers place a #8 seed as the favorites? Maybe b/c that #8 seed was one of the best teams this entire season & were the favorites to win it all.

Like imma bout to have a new rule for 2025, if u don’t know football, don’t @ me. If u can’t have an open and honest convo, don’t @ me. If u can’t get out ur feelings & look at reality for what reality is, don’t @ me, but let me put a bow on this topic b/c this board loves excuses & I don’t live in that type of world; I live in the world of accountability:

1. At TIME OF MATCH UP, the Miami hurricanes faced not ONE Top 25 team.

2. We were favored to win every game this season AFTER teams like FSU & UL unveiled themselves as mediocre to bad

3. The combined record of opponents this year was 78-72 prior to our bowl game. We had an easy path to the ACCCG.

So again, I’m not sure y u’re remotely trying to accuse someone of bringing “ESECPN” into to the board when it is facts.

Buckeyes were, by far, the better team on paper. Ducks are have 6 5 star players. Ohio state has 15. Triple the elite talent. It’s something of a minor miracle the Ducks beat them the first time around.

ducks then handled their business the rest of the season. Not a single loss to a less talented team. There’s your difference between Cristobal and Lanning.

I don’t judge a coach by losses. I look at who a coach lost to. Can a coach go an entire season without any letdown games. Losing to a team with 3x more talent and that will probably win the natty doesn’t mean much to me. Cristobal has never had a season in his career where his team beat all the lesser talented teams.

Lanning has had two seasons in a row where his teams had zero losses to inferior teams
Last year only 2 losses were to the same team- national title runner up Washington.
This year only loss to Ohio State.

Even in Cristobal’s best season with a QB who is one of the best young QBs in the nfl, he still managed to lose a game to an inferior opponent and blow his chance for the playoffs.

I don’t think UO is a CFP team this yr under Mario b/c let’s be frank, a Mario coached team even at his time at Oregon played down to competition. Listen, we’re fortunate to be 10-3, & that’s on everything I love. I saw a poorly coached team for 3 yrs now.

I also say UO is fortunate to be the #1 seed b/c OSU should’ve beat them in the regular season. They still would be a CFP team, but this game was personal for OSU. A lot of pro’s had OSU winning. Now, I would be lying if I told u I expected this level of dominance, but yeah I made some $$ today b/c I thought OSU would win by 10.

I’ve been one of the few on here defending Day; he’s a helluva coach, & he has arguably the most talented roster from top to bottom out of any top 15 team. Harbaugh is a helluva coach, too, w/ NFL experience. Look at LAC right now in yr 1 of Harbaugh w/ limited weapons around Herbert. So calling for his head after OSU’s losses to UofM is & was premature.

Lanning learned from yr 1 to yr 2, he learned from yr 2 to yr 3. I’m sure he’ll learn from this yr, as well. Regardless, this should’ve been a Final 4 matchup, not Final 8.

We can't tell about Miami and Cristobal, because we never got the chance to see Cam Ward and his team perform in a playoff environment. Given the horrific defense we saw this year, that's probably a good thing.

Losing to Taint in a shootout would not have been good for morale around here. And given the fact that they have Jeremiah Smith against our Pop Warner Secondary, I'm fairly certain that that's how things would have played out.

If Dan were the coach here we would probably be in the playoffs if Mario was coaching Oregon they probably would have several losses. College football is the semi pros now. But there is more parity. The years of Georgia and bama or Clemson bama are over. Let me ask you a question. Will Mario make the playoffs in the next two years and will he win the acc?

They will be in the playoffs next year and lord knows where we will be.
 
Dan Lanning has a lesser resume than MC had at Oregon. Dan lanning took over a better situation, has had a premium roster every year
(especially 2024) & really ain’t do ****. Oregon gave up over 5 sacks, don’t think you’re gonna to see that here any time soon. Dude took over a very different situation there. If MC gets the defensive side fixed rapidly then along with the foundation of the team, we are going to be in good shape. & go get a QB. We are going to know very early in 2025 what’s up.
