If Natty is benchmark, you shouldn't feel good about Oregon and Lanning's trajectory...

duke and louisveill were ranked 25th and 28th at the end of the season - duke was also the first 9-3 team to not be ranked at season's end since 2014 (wonder why!? - because then the committee would have to give us a "ranked win")

we won 10 games for the 2nd time in 20 years, yes we failed - and fired our DC 2 business days later but don't diminish what the team did accomplish this year

One program is fully vested from the top down, while the other is now entering yet another off season of uncertainty regarding coaching staff & personnel.

Like folks, we have to stop this. I refuse to allow this board in 2025 to continue down this slippery slope.

however...if the only litmus is Natty of total failure as I believe he said/implied...Lanning and Oregon are still a looooong ways off....

If standard is being solidly built top to bottom and fully vested with resources...Oregon 》Miami is easy to see and our Canes are far behind any of these Quarterfinal teams.

As to championships? Well, Lanning got his *** kicked by Taint when it counted, not during the season when it didn't.

We can't tell about Miami and Cristobal, because we never got the chance to see Cam Ward and his team perform in a playoff environment. Given the horrific defense we saw this year, that's probably a good thing.

Losing to Taint in a shootout would not have been good for morale around here. And given the fact that they have Jeremiah Smith against our Pop Warner Secondary, I'm fairly certain that that's how things would have played out.

He got rid of a lot of Mario’s players when he got there.

Orgeon faced much stiffer competition.

Miami lost to GT and Syracuse...hardly elite competition.

Barely beat Cal and VT...hardly elite competition.

nahh we ain’t fried just great convo…OSU don’t take a backseat to no one in the talent department…Folks crowned Dan and he ain’t won ish yet..a good coach who is on his way to the top….im a Miami Hurricanes fan not a Mario fan and if he was still at Oregon they would still be in the playoffs this year imo…Ryan Day is a good coach ..folks who say he ain’t are a lil….lol
