Yep, there was so much to fix as Manny went 21-15. As someone posted previously, Arroyo, X, George and a few others were "Manny leftovers". Just because Mario said he had to start from scratch doesn't make it true. He said we would be physical and disciplined and that has not happened in 3 years! He failed to get a quality QB in the portal last year and failed miserably to get quality secondary players this year.

Now here’s the thing, I just told this board in 2022 Lanning had to flip the QB, RBs, & secondary, yet the narrative is that Mario’s players helped Lanning. Here’s the tricky part, it’s true Mario flipped the QB, RB, & several along the OL via the portal & recruiting, but no is giving credit to Manny & his players for literally being the best on the team.

And I 100% agree w/ u on the defense, but here’s the irony; the Defense was all him. When the last of Manny’s “undisciplined” players left, it got exposed butt naked when the calendar flipped to ACC play.

This is why I would rather for this thread to die vs. really exposing hypocrisy, redundancy, & straw man arguments.

And who would have figured, the 3rd and 4th year players on offense are the better players. Grown men vs the kids that just got here..hmm interesting

The problem wasn’t that manny didn’t bring in some good players, the problem was he didn’t bring in enough of those good players. That the reason when Williams and Kam K left there was nothing left to replace them.

Manny coached lbs right? Did he recruit any lbs that played in the NFL while he was here. Not Goldens players of or the safety that became a linebacker last year. I mean a player he recruited and brought in to play linebacker.

Didn’t Saban run through staff rather quickly? Kirby Smart was on his hip forever, but most of his coaches came and went quite frequently. I know they had a different offensive coordinator seemingly every other year. A few guys may have been around for quite a few years. Mario was only there for three seasons.

Why did he leave for Oregon of all places? Oregon had slipped from the Chip Kelly period. Mario really wanted to work for Willie Taggart?

Maybe you’re not understanding. The claim is that the ONLY reason we won 10 games was because of Cam Ward. If you have a list of drives where he was the only breathing member of the offense, we may start to believe that he won games by himself.

Nope. Cam Ward was a huge part of our success. But he wasn’t the “only reason” that we won 10 games. Put him out there with, say, the Washington State roster from 2023 and his record is somewhere around 5-7.

Like, were you serious with that question?

The typical CIS goons can only think in extremes. If you don’t think Cam Ward was the only reason we won 10 games, then the only other option is that we would have won 10 games “with any QB”.
