DAY 2 PRACTICE THREAD

Grace says he's 212 right now. anyone remember what Spence was as a soph?
he was only 224 as a senior and weighs in at 231 ow. fwiw

Sean was Maybe 215 at the most as a sophomore. Junior 220. Senior year about 225. 230 now in nfl and steelers and their fans are very high on him.

If Spence was able to play. I'm sure Grace can, heard big raves on him all offseason. Think that's who I would compare Grace to, and I would take that in a heartbeat. Sean was a stud on some **** teams.

Have big expectations for Dallas being on defense now. Watch him in high school. Was a natural safety. I'll mention it again. You don't pick off 19 passes in two years like its nothing, especially being a former QB too. Think Dallas brings leadership we need back there.

I'm still sticking to my guns, Deon as one of the starters and the other to be determined between Dallas and Carter.

See Dallas being used in a nickel/safety role too. Got a good 4 man rotation between Deon, Carter, Dallas, Rayshawn. May the best win, but either way they will all play. And im sure staff will try and find ways to get at least 3 on field at same time in situations. Considering Dallas is very versatile.

For anyone doubting Chocolate. **** off, the people down here who actually watch ball religiously know how good he is. Kid is at a freak size already. 6'2 220 no joke. He'll probably shed some before game day. Be about 215 but still. Excited for Gray.

Grace should be 220 by now at least. It's baffling how he can't gain real weight.

He should have spent the summer doing 100 squat clean and presses followed up by a 3 egg omelette, 2 peanut butter sandwiches and a three large glasses of milk in the AM. Then his regular lifts. Then in the evening, another 100 followed by another 3 glasses of milk and a huge plate of chicken Alfredo.

And then a couple PB sandwiches before bed.

Every ******* day.

Does anybody else think Kaaya's foot work looks bad? Good throws but he kind of double steps right before his release. Still has the rest of training camp however. If he can get good feet in the pocket and no look down a receiver he has a good shot.

What makes you an expert on footwork?

If a kid doesn't have a offer from Bama or FSU, then some fans will ***** about the kid....smh

From listening to all the interviews since the Spring, there seems to be a sense of confidence amongst everyone.
These guys seem to be real focused.

Another thing that stands out from the returning defensive players is that they all seem to have the defensive play book down pat.
Everyone says it's a major difference from last year, which leads me to believe that the only one's who had it down last year were the one's who didn't have the athleticism to truly run the defense like AJ and Jimmy Gaines.

There seems to be a seriousness and a cautious optimism brewing from the players and coaches alike.

No offense but the same was said by many last year including myself. I hope this year it's true but I will reserve judgement until after the UL game. Nothing wrong with being optimistic and hopeful though. Hope you are correct in your assessment.

I'm not expecting a top 30 defense but this is the most talent we've had in a while on that side.

Grace needs to be on the field. We need that speed.

Last year?

I've been feeling optimistic every year since 1979.

That's no way to enjoy college football.
