Nah, he just looks big for 6'2". His build looks like that of a guy 6' or under, but he's a big dude, with a ton of talent. I'm glad he made it in. Kinda like I am glad Frank Gore made it in. Didn't think either one would, and feel/felt both are BIG difference makers. You just can't teach 6'2" 222 with speed/play making ability.

For anyone doubting Chocolate. **** off, the people down here who actually watch ball religiously know how good he is. Kid is at a freak size already. 6'2 220 no joke. He'll probably shed some before game day. Be about 215 but still. Excited for Gray.

Agreed. Now, think of Spence with Perryman. Man, that's a good combo. I know people have been going crazy the last two+ years, but I can see some amazing days ahead.

Decision making, speed, and overall ability can make up for a good 20 pounds. I have absolutely no issue with a 210 lb LB if he can tackle and be where he needs to be. Especially where the other team doesn't want him to be.

Grace says he's 212 right now. anyone remember what Spence was as a soph?

he was only 224 as a senior and weighs in at 231 ow. fwiw

Sean was Maybe 215 at the most as a sophomore. Junior 220. Senior year about 225. 230 now in nfl and steelers and their fans are very high on him.

If Spence was able to play. I'm sure Grace can, heard big raves on him all offseason. Think that's who I would compare Grace to, and I would take that in a heartbeat. Sean was a stud on some **** teams.

Agreed. I know from watching Grace tape from back when he was at miramar, kid is a heat seeking missile. Reminds me of Sean. Might be faster than Sean too which is scary.

I don't know if he has that same instinct he had though. Sean was amazing at that, always knew where to be and made plays and was just a complete stud.

Hope Grace can live up to hype. That speed something you can't teach.

Gray is truly a secret weapon we have. Louisville is not going to know what hit them.

They got to play together for one year when Spence was a senior and Denzel was freshman and they looked good together.

Eddie could have been nice with Denzel too. Too bad what happened with Eddie.

Thought Figs could have been nice too.

I hope Owens and Grace keep their heads on straight and live up to the hype. Were gonna need them.

Never saw him play for Miramar, but remember watching him in some All American game and he jumped off the screen, fast and physical. Plus I think he got into it with an opposing player, kid plays with an attitude. I really think he will break out this year. We desperately need some playmakers on D

Nonsense. Before Golden came in people were incessantly whining about our undersized LBs getting run over by backs and not being able to shed blockers. Many even frequently criticized Spence, saying how hard he played but that he just wasn't big enough. The true joke is how so many fans will take whatever position is the opposite of our situation, so they can complain and whine.
