Dallas moved back to DB

This is a ploy to make our defense look better during the spring. Always marketing.

This just highlights the misses of Collins, Sony, and Cook.

What will highlight it is if Gus and Tucker are no good. If they show something and Crawford stays at DB then it would show the depth at RB is alright with Yearby and Duke coming back

I'm not really sure how anyone can see this as bad news. This probably means that Gus is looking good and the coaches are confident in him and this also probably means that Duke and Yearby's recoverys are going smoothly and will be back in no time to start competing. It also means that Dallas goes back the position he prefers and where he most likely has a lot more upside seeing as he was Defensive prep player of the year his freshman year and most likely wouldn't have been much more at rb than he was this year, a serviceable back up. We may end up being a little thin at rb this spring, but id rather get Dallas going on defense than have him waste another few months on offense. This is great news to me and I'm real excited to see what he can do at safety.

Great move, Dallas was never a running back,

He was the Bus on the goal line and a Tonka Truck between the 20's.

Wasn't he a ball hawking safety in high school?

He was never going to the Pros as a RB, but maybe his talents can be maximized at his natural position.
We do need the depth at safety to allow our incoming guys to redshirt.

when we signed joe brown the other day and everyone freaked out, i said it was probably to be an ol. Hopefully, i am right again.

Dallas is a smart guy with huge cojones. I'll take him playing WR, corner, safety or running back because he'll contribute at wherever position he is needed

He was scout team player of the year on defense his freshman year. I never liked the move to RB. He is a safety. He will bring a nastiness to our secondary that we are missing.

Yeah I didn't like it either. I would have much rather lost to North Carolina that night.

If DC was at safety, maybe he would have busted that TE in the face and the jerk would not have run all over us all night. We need more talent on D.

Touche.

I think he could be a player at safety for sure, but Dallas ran his *** off for us and we would have been screwed without him when Duke went down. We were screwed anyway I guess.

Dallas was a beast at safety in high school..only thing is he is 5'8 and he is not that fast... but has instincts out the wazoo.. He is better off playing near the LOS he doesnt have the range needed to play 20 yards from the LOS...it is what it is.. Hopefully his instincts can overcome his shortcomings but I doubt this regime gives him the opportunity to showcase his skills. Square peg round hole..In a nomral world he wouldnt sniff the field here but hey if Highsith could get PT anythings possible

Great move....beast in the secondary in hs, kept reading that he was showing out when he redshirted, be laying wood on special teams. His money position is safety.

Move makes sense since it really served no purposes to have him #2 behind Duke being that they were similar type of runners.
Duke and big boy Gus will make a dynamic one two punch. Thunder and lightning if you will.
Plus DC is playing his more natural position at Safety.
Golden is getting this program back to where players don't have to switch positions in order to fill a void in depth at certain positions.

it could highlight tray one gray will qualify.

Can't lie, that's what I've been thinking.
