Dallas moved back to DB

This could be a good move for him, and who really gives a poo who the RBs are gonna be for spring.

its just that no one besides gus is getting better during the spring at RB.. would be great to have pulled off another RB in the class that could have gotten great reps with the 1's and 2's

Thanks for ruining the kids career, Golden

Kid would not have seen the light of day behind Duke, Gus and Yearby. Besides, he's one of those guys that every team wants and needs: blue-collar, team-first, hard worker. His value lies in those traits.

Awesome let's go all in on two broken ankles and "The goped" to salvage a respectable season next year

Are suggesting that it would be extremely difficult for Crawford to fill in at RB if needed? The easiest position in all of college football to see early playing time

You know...**** it. If you guys haven't learned by now not to jump off of a bridge at the first tweet, then enjoy the fall

I don't know if we'll need him much, but for those of you saying Gus the Bus, you all need to realize that he's just a FB waiting to happen.

This is good. He's back where he belongs. Who cares about spring RB depth? They can have Donna Shalala back there running the outside zone, as long as we're practicing the blocking. We have a new QB coming it, they'll need the extra few reps.

He was scout team player of the year on defense his freshman year. I never liked the move to RB. He is a safety. He will bring a nastiness to our secondary that we are missing.

Yeah I didn't like it either. I would have much rather lost to North Carolina that night.

The guy has issues running with lean and power now. He is gonna morph into a lead blocker now? Under Coley how much full back are we really gonna use anyway? We're a one-back zone team . They didn't try to go get a replacement for Hagens. Maybe it is Tucker after spring but the fullback is a minimized position in this scheme.

Tucker runs track. I don't think he'll be bulking up much.

He's lost close to 15 lbs. He was about 235 last year and now he's down to 218.

Love it told everyone this would happen and got neg by so many

Kid has a future at S and likes to hit plus adds competition with Bush Jenkins Carter Hester

Yearby and Duke are going to get the carries no room for DC plus Edwards

Yearby and Duke are both coming off of broken bones i believe. Edwards looks like a major project at RB

Agree with the first part but I disagree Gus is a big project... He ran well against Louisville with limited carries. He's by no means a polished RB but he's also a true freshman. He has good speed, good lateral quickness & great vision for a big RB.

He's already big for a hurdler, I think. I don't think he needs to bulk up anymore to be a big back. I've watched him run hurdles and run the football (all on videos) and I think he has very good size if not a lot of wiggle. He's a big strong back who is faster than most.

As far as the De'Andre kid, I watched his highlights months and months ago--I was wondering this past season why he didn't play. I thought he looked fairly talented, perhaps more so than Crawford. I couldn't understand why he was not playing. Maybe they like the kid. He's kind of short but seems to be a fairly hard runner. We might have more talent at the position than you think. I also think Gus is more talented than a lot think. He just doesn't run over people like you might expect given his size. He seems to be better once you get him into space.

Powell done ****ed up.

We are painfully thin at RB, so I predicted against this move.

That said, I like it. A lot. Pete's dead on about the "recklessness" aspect -- Crawford has the nasty attitude needed to be a nasty DB. He ran nasty, but just didn't have the skill set to be as dangerous in the offensive backfield as he will in the defensive backfield.

aside from unc, gus was more productive statically and considering the kid never practiced until like a couple days before our first game, that says something.
