He’d not s QB2 cause a QB2 has to be able to come in and run your offense if QB1 goes down……would you want EW running your team after this debacle tonight…he needs to go play G5 football somewhere..I used to love Emory. He is fine at QB2. Forever. We need him to compete against a legit transfer talent.
But that’s what I’m saying they didn’t give him a chance. Look I’m not going to say that he is for sure not just a greentree all-American but how can we know for sure when he hasn’t been given an opportunity to fail or succeedhe played an entire quarter and threw one pass. They weren't interested in getting him "warmed up". They put him on the field to give him a shot and say they did it and hoped he could just preserve the win. It failed. And they should have known it would fail since there was next to no defense again. Just a really bad decision all the way around.
No f…ing way! Do you have eyes? He can’t play big college football. He made a terrible D look good.I’d like to see him at least be given a shot to sling it but if they don’t trust him at this point I guess that’s all we need to know
I told themThat is it. That is the post. Anyone is a drop off from Cam but Emory is not the guy.
Worst take everOur fans trying to get Ward killed for a meaningless game
I laugh at those folks that tried to say that Mendoza and Emory were essentially the same player
But he is not. He could not competently run the offense today -- at all. At the end of his 2nd year.
That is atrocious.
Maybe Mario was trying to show the last few “Emory All Day” holdouts that the kid is ***, and if we gonna win some games next year, we need a **** QB! Maybe it was for the “money men” to see that, “Aye… if yall don’t un *** some more NIL money, this is our 2025 season.”I mean that comment was made in the 3rd quarter. Lol obviously we saw when Emory had to throw he was trash. But I don’t get putting him in a bowl game and playing conservative until the final minute. It’s a bowl game.
Dude everyone of his passes were awful!I’d like to see him at least be given a shot to sling it but if they don’t trust him at this point I guess that’s all we need to know
There is almost no chance a coaching staff going into year four and now having expectations will go into next year relying on what we saw today.I was gonna @ you about your Emory grades. But I didn't want you to think I was calling you out. Honestly just asking. There's no point now though.
Their lack of faith in him was pretty telling. His lack of arm strength was a shocker though. And this is coming from someone who's been calling out his noodle arm since high school.
they knew, clearly. Starting to realize they played him because they had no choice. And they solved the issue of people claiming "he didn't get a shot".But that’s what I’m saying they didn’t give him a chance. Look I’m not going to say that he is for sure not just a greentree all-American but how can we know for sure when he hasn’t been given an opportunity to fail or succeed
Post in thread 'Pop-Tarts Bowl: Canes vs Iowa State Cyclones 12-28-24'How is a guy whose 6”6 get that many passes batted down lmao
It happened last year too
He's a palm thrower, not a fingers thrower.Every pass gets batted… what is the issue
My money would be squarely on the legit transfer. Emory looked like he ain’t practiced since last year.I used to love Emory. He is fine at QB2. Forever. We need him to compete against a legit transfer talent.
Why does he throw without laces? Can’t remember the last QB that did that?Post in thread 'Pop-Tarts Bowl: Canes vs Iowa State Cyclones 12-28-24'

He over palms the ball & tries to throw it with his whole hand, which causes him to try to guide the ball out, as opposed to just letting it go. This telegraphs his throws & let's any Defender with an IQ above 60 pretty much know where the ball is going.
It's the reason why he's a laces in thrower, instead of laces out. He's trying to push the ball as close to the WR as he can get it because mechanically he's not a natural thrower.
But you didn't hear that from me...
It's either because he has small hands & has trouble gripping the ball. Why does he throw without laces? Can’t remember the last QB that did that?
