Can we stop with the Emory is QB1 Talk now.

Been saying forever that Luke would be at worst the backup next year and will start if Mario continues to wait until he has to get down on his knees like he did with Cam to get a QB in here that can actually play QB…

he played an entire quarter and threw one pass. They weren't interested in getting him "warmed up". They put him on the field to give him a shot and say they did it and hoped he could just preserve the win. It failed. And they should have known it would fail since there was next to no defense again. Just a really bad decision all the way around.
But that’s what I’m saying they didn’t give him a chance. Look I’m not going to say that he is for sure not just a greentree all-American but how can we know for sure when he hasn’t been given an opportunity to fail or succeed

I hate to say this but FSU has a better QB then us. At least Thomas can run around. He11 he makes better throws then Emory. We have the worst QB in the ACC right now

Is it too late to backchannel to Kyron Drones?

I mean that comment was made in the 3rd quarter. Lol obviously we saw when Emory had to throw he was trash. But I don’t get putting him in a bowl game and playing conservative until the final minute. It’s a bowl game.
Maybe Mario was trying to show the last few “Emory All Day” holdouts that the kid is ***, and if we gonna win some games next year, we need a **** QB! Maybe it was for the “money men” to see that, “Aye… if yall don’t un *** some more NIL money, this is our 2025 season.”

I was gonna @ you about your Emory grades. But I didn't want you to think I was calling you out. Honestly just asking. There's no point now though.

Their lack of faith in him was pretty telling. His lack of arm strength was a shocker though. And this is coming from someone who's been calling out his noodle arm since high school.
There is almost no chance a coaching staff going into year four and now having expectations will go into next year relying on what we saw today.

I was told when Mario got the job he expected it to be year four when they start competing for playoffs. Cam Ward expedited that track by a year, but after you saw today you cannot in good conscience believe he can take you there.

They will at the very least bring in competition. These guys know the clocks are ticking on their jobs after next year. They were always going to have four free years. Expectations are now.

No matter what support staff says. No matter what you believe in small samples from earlier in the year.

The coaches will tell you what they really feel when things count. And what they told you today is they are more scared of Emory throwing than they are of the defense trying to stop someone. Absolutely petrified of him trying to throw until he had no choice.

The performance he put on tape was not FBS quality. I was talking with a guy from this board and he asked me if he'd play at Missouri State and there's no chance. He would absolutely not have been the starter at Missouri State this year.

You cannot- and they will not- go into next year with Emory, Luke, Judd as the room after what you saw today.

It was that poor.

they knew, clearly. Starting to realize they played him because they had no choice. And they solved the issue of people claiming "he didn't get a shot".

How is a guy whose 6”6 get that many passes batted down lmao

It happened last year too

I used to love Emory. He is fine at QB2. Forever. We need him to compete against a legit transfer talent.
My money would be squarely on the legit transfer. Emory looked like he ain’t practiced since last year.

Why does he throw without laces? Can’t remember the last QB that did that?

Just to $hut that crowd up it was all worth playing him that whole 2nd half. A lot of them are getting what we've been saying about Emory
