In actuality he allowed him to throw 6 times before that final possession almost entirely lateral passes. I’m not sure what you expect when u put him into a tough situation where he was not given a chance to get into rhythm and was cold.

he played an entire quarter and threw one pass. They weren't interested in getting him "warmed up". They put him on the field to give him a shot and say they did it and hoped he could just preserve the win. It failed. And they should have known it would fail since there was next to no defense again. Just a really bad decision all the way around.
