Battle's OSU Visit

Defense lacks an ace recruiter for sure, I'm not really sure the philosophy we are going for in assistants. Simpson (believe he will be beast) has no D1 coaching experience, Patke from what I hear is also green, and when we hired Rumph n Banda, they were also green. I'm not against hiring green assistants just not as many at one time.

Banda and Rumph have proven their worth on the field. You guys focus way too much on the misses in recruiting. The kids that sign here get no respect because the front running kids who run to the Bamas and Ohio Taints are always "better".

While I wish we landed Battle it’s not like the cupboard is bare of talent. It’s funny that some of you are melting down when just a few months ago prior to the rivals camp testing nobody was sure if he was a take for the Canes. As I said before we already got the best player on that STA defense (Huff)!

How so brock????

We just whiffed on Battle and our own insiders still peg Stevenson to UGA.

You bring in a guy like DVD to help land the elite guys and so far I still see the same old problems.

We blaming a guy who can't even recruit off campus now? Lol You guys have lost it. We will never get everyone.

Not blaming DVD, but it's clear to me that in order for us to get better from last year we need more recruiting firepower on the defensive side of the ball. You bring in guys like Simpson, Patke, and DVD etc. - and so far an increase in results have been little if none

Wrong, read my post before the one you quoted. I believe Rumph is a great developer of talent, but I believe he misses on some guys bc the lack of resume. Mike Jackson being drafted in the first round will go a long way for him on the trail.

With Battle off the Board, who enters?

Stevenson and MAR obviously have the green light whenever. But history has shown we need to get another commitment.

Is there any other South Florida safeties? Nunn or Logan the next best options?

No meltdown here, simple discussion.

The price tag in sofla has gone up since cmr got here and kids are cashing in. We can bring Luigi and coley back and the price will get higher and we will miss out again on local 5 star kids. When TC left I knew we would still miss out on the sofla studs.
We don’t t even have the 19 class wrapped up and now we’re wondering if we can keep the 20 class together.
We just finished with the highest ranking in a long time. We are going to open the season with brand new facilities and new state of the art dorms next year. We have one of the highest stipends given to athletes. Our s and c coach and nutrition program is excellent. We put low 3 stars in the league.

But Rumph’s breath is whats stinking it all up? Please.

There is a reason why fine *** women are slurping down ***** form guys older fatter shorter and with less hair than me. And it ain’t theirs salesmanship or persuasion.

We’re going to have to win by getting the best kids we can and doing a **** of a lot of coaching.
However now that I put my tampon back in and stopped the bleeding. We’re in a better position than anyone in the state and that speaks volumes.
Beat LSU and FSU and some of these dudes that are considering somewhere else will catch vapors and might jump on the mothership.

Salesmanship right there.

He's pretty involved. I just look at the facts and there always is a common thread in these high profile DBs that we're missing on.
No he’s the area recruiter..this was Banda’s swing and miss.

Just wait till Stevenson goes to UGA, it’s going to be a meltdown of epic proportions on here.
Anyone who was surprised by this decision is a cuck. And anyone who is expecting Stevenson to come here is suffering from short term memory loss, because it is Tyson Campbell all over again

It doesn't matter how many times the kid has visited campus and used the bathroom on the 2nd floor of Dooley. He's going to make a "business decision" and he has been bought, sealed, and delivered to Georgia. Don't fool yourself by thinking otherwise

What is Rumph now like 4 for 15? Not going to lock up SoFla with those numbers
Wanna play that huh? Ok
You're misinformed and if reports are true that OSU sold him on playing as CB, that's even more disturbing about our DB recruiting. I like Banda, but ever since he tweeted a pic of Sean Taylor re: Jobe, I've been skeptical. Both Banda & Rumph OK coaches, but they need to step it up in recruiting. Clear as day to me, can't believe it's even a discussion after we whiffed on a lot of top targets last cycle.

because he’s the area recruiter

He was involved with Nesta, Mike Harley, Jon Ford, Corey Gaynor, Avery huff, Anthony Solomon, Anthony Munoz, and Cam Williams on top of every CB he recruited...just using your logic.

EL O EL at Rumph being an OK coach...guy took a backup safety and turned him into a NFL CB and turned M-Jack into a 1st round prospect heading into next year’s draft.

I know Josh Sanguinetti had ****** testing numbers but I wish we’d just take him tbh we lost Battle and we probably won’t get him back so I’d like to see them take Sango
We dont have to. If we get Stevenson and Richards we would have 3 safeties already with Smith.

I understand what you saying, but do you not think it would be good from a depth perspective? I know all about the testing numbers, but do you not think he is a player that could contribute at all? We did essentially take 2 safeties last class (assuming blades or frierson transitions to safety). Just curious on a different perspective.

I would say Sanguinetti, hopefully he has a good showing at the Opening.
