Im just stating what an actual insider said on another board as it pertained to the post which I answered to. And when you gonna talk about something I said why dont you stop being a little hoe and quote my comment to leave no specualtion.
Bring me Stevenson or I burn this bytch though, but I agree with u. Richards to me is a lockBattle was 100% an Oh St lead his entire recruitment, then he signs with Oh st.
Are some of you guys retarded? I'm asking that question seriously, no joke.
He's not even the top Safety on our board, Stevenson & Richards are ahead of him.
I know some of yall just started following recruiting like a year or so ago, I just know it. MF's want us to sign 10 STA kids in one class smh lol
And Urb can lie to and **** all over these South Florida ***** once they get to Methland (see Torrance Gibson), and they don’t say **** about it. They just suckle that teet like batches. How true is that though?
The whole “you can’t miss on a guy you never had” is dopey UM fan nonsense. When you lose a guy you wanted badly, who is right down the road, to Methland then you missed. You lost unless he got bagged, we lost. You can’t whiff on something you never had, it does feels like we shot the ball with 20 seconds left on the close with using our official this early only for him to still commit to osu 2 weeks later. Would rather had waited until later in the process to make a move.
Sit this one out and chill out. DVD is a player personnel guy and at the end of the day he only can do so much in terms of recruiting and his greatest impact is when these kids get on campus.
Stevenson ain’t a done deal to Miami, uga or bama and it’s naive by anyone to proclaim that he is at this point in his recruitment. Just know miami is in a good spot for him.
The whole “you can’t miss on a guy you never had” is dopey UM fan nonsense.
It’s downright mentally infirm. How can they even pretend that’s a valid excuse for losing a guy from a UM feeder school to some lying **** 1800 miles away? If we never had a chance at a kid from a feeder school, then there’s something terribly wrong there. This ain’t Bosa, whose entirely family walks around guzzling Urb’s nut juice.Preach
We gotta be the only fan base that continuously pushes that **** out year after year after year after we lose someone just because they never had us as a leader. Well it’s our coaches’ job to change that, it’s not a **** excuse.
It cracks me up when guys on this board get on here and give the “He is X on our recruiting board and not as high or lower than others.” Like anyone on this got **** board has seen our board with their own eyes and know who is higher than who lol.
Sometimes guys are all big time targets and are all getting recruited heavily and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Just because a kid was offered before another kid doesn’t mean he is higher on the board. Sanguinetti was offered months before Battle, but we probably wouldn’t take that kid now but we obviously would have taken Battle. Just because a kid is ranked higher on 247 than another kid doesn’t mean he is higher on our board than that kid. You heard Manny say he doesn’t give a **** about that.
Y’all are a trip. Now people on here know the order of our DB board, lmao.
And honestly, who cares where he was on our board?? The fact is they wanted him bad and recruited him hard. Whether he was #7 or #1 is actually irrelevant.
Maybe they wanted him bad. But if you allegedly want someone bad who wants someone else bad and you start to pursue said someone late in the game, how in the **** do you realistically expect to have a real shot at landing him when the someone else that he was deadset on eventually comes through?
Lol
Sounds like more excuses to me but whatever man, you have your opinion.
Now it’s “we offered him late”, lol. We literally offered the kid an entire year before he has to sign (February of 2018) AND we offered him before OSU even offered him so I’m not trying to hear that.
Now I gaurantee that I can already predict how people will respond to that.
“Oh, we offered him after OSU and he visited us several times and has several teammates coming here and he still didn’t come? HE WAS NEVER COMING!!!”
FOH.
Maybe they wanted him bad. But if you allegedly want someone bad who wants someone else bad and you start to pursue said someone late in the game, how in the **** do you realistically expect to have a real shot at landing him when the someone else that he was deadset on eventually comes through? You might get lucky, and the staff sensed they had a shot when OSU slow played him so they went for it.
But come on. All of the telenovela crying and soliloquies over this kid really ain't warranted. Stevenson - fine. MAR - yep. I'll join the mope crowd.
But Battle, that's just p^ssiness at its best.
You want to stick with the whole, 'we suck', theme so go ahead. Won't stop you. The kid was not a priority - he was a hail mary. And he wanted to go to OSU. Are we making that up, too?
But carry on with your agenda, please.
The whole “you can’t miss on a guy you never had” is dopey UM fan nonsense. When you lose a guy you wanted badly, who is right down the road, to Methland then you missed. You lost unless he got bagged, we lost.
I think it's important to ask why our board has changed. We turned up the heat on Battle, why?
We love what we have in K. Smith.
So, It could be because we aren't feeling as confident in Stevenson (my guess) as information has began to leak that he's a Georgia lean or MAR (less likely).
The drop in talent after these 4 is significant. So although I'm not overly concerned about losing Battle. I am worried about Stevenson, and I don't like the options we have after that.
That being said, there is still lots of time and we can adjust our board and find someone out of state or a prospect may step up during his senior season.
And just so you know, you can be a priority and a “Hail Mary (even though hail mary’s Don’t even your campus 5+ times) at the same time.
I for one am glad our staff aren’t pussies and stop pushing for a kid just because he may be a tough pull. Especially a local kid as talented as Battle.
