All-Time Miami Hurricanes Draft - D$ selects Shakespeare/JL

I really like my passing game...very versatile pass offense, I got.

Got OJ and Mel Bratton on the backfield...two guys that can pass block and catch the ball out of the backfield...
At TE got Willie Smith and Jimmy Graham...can move those guys all around, split'em out, put Smith in motion...
Got Playmaker, Miami's first 2x All-American, and can put Jim Dooley in there to do a lot of things...split him out wide, inside, close to the line. The wide outs run 6'2", 6'1", and 6'4" respectively. Also got Jimmy at 6'8".

My passing game is a problem, boys.

It better be quick hitting routes, because those tackles won't hold up too well.

I've had two very capable tackles for what I'm trying to do...heck, they've done it before...but I've had no reason to take them...ya'll filled the OT spot much earlier...so, no need to take the OT's that I would have taken ahead of quite a few tackles and other offensive linemen taken...so, I just leave the spot open, I'll take them with my last two picks, simply because I know they won't be taken.

Ya, ya, ya.

As for K-Williams, if he can't do both, I haven't decided.

Well, he CAN do both, but you still need a TE and a WR/TE if you keep Williams as your specialist...or, simply, a specialist if you keep Williams as a WR. For discussion purposes...Williams should be your KR that can still play WR over a WR that isn't your primary return specialist (of which, your return specialist will be inferior to Williams, for sure).

There is a linebacker, that, I have no idea why he is still available...crazy.

My next pick was between two guys but I have to go with my last starting DB here and wrap up both starting lineups. This guy was a three year starter, and while there are some guys on the board who received more accolades and better pro careers (he only played one year in the CFL), this guy fits in nicely with Kenny Phillips (who will play free safety for me). He was only 5'11" 185 but he could hit like a friggen mack truck and earned the coolest nickname in this draft, "The Grim Reaper". Assuming you can somehow get past my front 7, he'll put you in the ground.

I pick Charles "The Grim Reaper" Pharms.

This next pick is a bit more strategy, as I have higher rated players at positions of more need, but my fellow draftees have already filled up their spots at these positions, so, I should have free range to get these guys later...

So, with these next picks...

First guy...All-American TE and still holds the record for most catches by a TE at Miami in a season and the second highest reception total by any player all-time, and second most catches for his career...

First pick is...Willie Smith.

I absolutely love this pick. Imo, he was the best pure receiving TE to ever play at Miami.

S, Dexter Seigler

Dexter was a cornerback.

America's Best Cornerback.

Yeah, just ask that RB who played for Arizona in the 94 Fiesta Bowl. I can't remember the name. He was number 4. Anyways, dude smoked Dexter on on his way to 60+ yard TD. Dude was from Compton, Ca.

I needed a DB. I still am not sure what I want to do with my group of DBs, but I didn't want to hold up the action here. Made a pick. At this point, I'm so happy with my 3-4 defense and overall massive team that I just want to stop receiving "you're up" texts from Larry in the middle of the night.

lmao...whatever dude, you're at 24/7 fitness when you get those texts and you know it.

Ha. ****innnn "you're up" texts all day and night.

Just curious as to why Roscoe Parrish went so late? I knew he wasn't going to be taken too high, but he fell hard in this draft.

Dude was/is extremely fast and was a major weapon here (still ****ed about the fumble against VT in 2003 where he just handed them the ball)

Reasonably productive in the NFL too, just sucks he was on a terrible team.

Can I cut Dexter Seigler, move Rumph back to Corner for the 3rd time, and pick another guy who hasn't been taken? It'll put Seigler back in the draft pool. And, realistically, I may still move Rumph to FS when it's all said and done either way.

Which one is your 'ST' guy? You have two TEs and three WRs.

I got Jim Dooley slotted as a "DB" (3rd all-time in INTs, I think its a fair slotting) right now...but them old boys can play 60-minutes!
