All-Time Miami Hurricanes Draft - D$ selects Shakespeare/JL

They'll never get a kick off without any tackles, son.

Why takes tackles...ya'll drafted all of the tackles...I'm gonna get who I'm gonna get since like 5 rounds ago lol...so, why take them and miss out on another 10 players or so...I'l take 2 tackles with my last two picks...they'll still be good enough for the OL I'm using.

I do not believe any of Hester's return TDs have come on Feagles...

research coming.

With all due respect to feagles, he's no devin hester. If you'd drafted ray guy, well, hester would still be housing his kicks. But at least i'd indulge the discussion. Nope. You need a st KOR coverage specialist, not a kicker. Balls land. Gravity works. Except less so on devin than on others.

You realize Feagles is the master of the Coffin Corner punt, correct?

The man didn't make a 20 year career out of kicking up lollipops to the like of Devin ****** Hester...considering Hurricane Hester neutralized. He ain't returning punts from the 4 yard line next to the sideline.

My next pick is a guy who was a solid starter at cornerback for Miami and went on to have significant success in the pros for 10 years, amassing 24 interceptions during his career with the Vikings and Chargers. He's got great size at 6' and 200 lbs. to compliment Kelly Jennings.

I select JOHN TURNER, CORNERBACK

There are probably more recognizable names still on the board, but I feel like this guy's a good fit with my team and what I'm trying to do.

He plays 10 years later and he goes 4 rounds higher.

You keep telling yourself that, sweet pea. He put 28% in the 20. That leaves 1250 punts for Devin to return. And he had 12 kicks returned for TDs against him without kicking to Devin. I'm sure the number would be more like 25 had he been kicking regularly to the GOAT return-man.

I like the way you hype your guys. Just, ... let's not kid ourselves.

Cannot believe Mel Bratton lasted until round 17.

Most complete back in Miami history. And that's real.

I was bummed when he went. Don't think he went too low, either. But great Cane and great pick where he went.

He didn't have a pro career for obvious reasons...but if he did, I don't see how he would have gone after Zo. Mel was special, real special. Great athlete as a runner, top flight pass catcher, elite blocker.

Sir, stay out of the punting chatter...Devin will returning nothing...deal with that.

Someone took Cleveland Gary ahead of him. SMH.

The exuberance of youth can sometimes cause people to say dumb things. Just know that larry.

We'll discuss this more in due course.

Just looking at the teams, I'd give the nod going in to Tano and Lu. There are some other guys who could close quickly, but Tano and Lu have filthy squads right now.

No one is scoring on that Tano defense. No one. The level of disruption wreaked by his DL followed up by the Bermuda Triangle II will keep teams on the wrong side of the 50 all day. Think of what Sapp or JB can do ALONE! Now add them together with the two DE's and those LBs????

You could make an average DB group look like All-Pros, but he doesn't have an average DB group. He has two first round picks, highly productive Canes and NFL players in Jennings and Kenny Phillips, with one of the most underrated players in the draft, Turner at the other side. Read up on him if you don't know much. One of the really good ones to come through Miami and is a 10 year NFL vet. Tano could pencil himself in at the other safety.

DE - Bill Hawkins
DE - Kevin Patrick
DT - Jerome Brown
DT - Warren Sapp

LB - Jonathan Vilma
LB - Jesse Armstead
LB - DJ Williams

CB - Kelly Jennings
CB - John Turner
S - Kenny Phillips
