I just don't see Kiffin as an example of underachievement. You might make that argument at USC (despite sanctions), but given his talent vs the talent in his conference, it's not some big failure as some like to suggest. Mario has definitely underachieved at Miami given the personnel he's brought in vs the conference. I don't see how that can be argued. And I'm not saying any of that guarantees Kiffin would have been a better choice at Miami in the long term. I've not given up on Mario, but we're in a precarious spot right now with program momentum for many reasons.

We’re not, Emory is just not long term starting QB material. He’s the type of QB who sits and develops for 4 years with the goal of playing as a Redshirt Senior or Junior at best. Honestly Williams ceiling is probably Fernando Mendoza.

I feel like OU beat writers are hedging their guaranteed predictions with the small chance that UM just out-bid OU for Mateer with an offer so ridiculous that OU balked at it. Like they are prepared to tell their fanbase, after they spent all week saying that Mateer was a lock, that he chose UM because offered him 10M...around the clock access to a private jet, a leased mansion on Star island AND a 1% stake in InterMiami CF..Lol. Like they are going to really tell their fanbase some outlandish **** to soften the blow. Lets hope we get that chance to enjoy the laughs.
