our staff doesnt want to start Emory. fans dont get. are they suppose to go around bashing a back up qb who the teammates love?

DL - Lee Hunter (probably TTech Bound)
DL - David Blay and/or Keeshawn Silver (need two DL in general imo, maybe more depending on who leaves)…
LB - Josiah Trotter
CB - Tecario Davis or Cameron Calhoun
CB - Mansoor Delane (committed to LSU) or Ethan O’Conner
CB - Charles Brantley or Jaylon Braxton (or honestly anyone that isn’t straight booty juice)
S - Zechariah Poyser
S - Devin Turner

Land a majority of these and we’re winning 10+, a lot easier said than done, however.

Definitely but isn’t it their job to make sure we aren’t in this position in the first place? Emory has been on campus for 3 years now. They brought in more development guys and there is no heir now.

They cleared out a bunch of money and have immediate wr1 appeal. They also might be getting the qb we want. Alabam has a RB at qb.

Here's what I know for sure, one of two things happens here.

1. Mario gets Mateer
2. OU gets Mateer after Mario drives the price up to a level that far exceeds what they thought they were going to have to pay for him

If #2 happens....how are they going to get quality receivers AND quality offensive lineman. Their offensive line is in the 100's in most statistical metrics. There is no chance they'll be able to afford at least TWO high end quality pass catchers AND at least THREE good offensive lineman, much less five.

Now the key is, will the kid himself realize all of this before he makes a dumb decision?
 
Still got this feeling there's a team involved no one is talking about that will come out of nowhere to make things even more interesting.

Kinda like OU (not trying to hint at anything) with Jalen Hurts. Ppl didn't even know or think they were looking for a QB bc they had Rattler lined up. It was supposed to be a Miami Maryland battle -- y'know, the teams with his former coaches -- for his services, only to find out Riley was involved and ended up with the prize.

yup and we do need to reload or the $ train dries up... its funny when a team is down bad and getting mad fun of, it tends to rally the forces. Look at UF and Auburn, two .500 teams that are spending **** tons of money. But if they dont hit, it dries up, same with us a few years back. But when you spend the $ and get a good but not great season people also expect more.

Also we had an absolute stud that carried us to 10 wins as QB. I agree 10 wins should be the bench mark but our schedule is much more difficult than this year and we barely got by this year. By every metric we were at 90% to make the playoff and missed. Next year


we keep UF who should be better next year but we get them at home
Keep USF
Keep FSU (but at FSU and they cant be worse can they?)
Keep VT (but in VA this time)
Keep Lville
Keep Cuse

Swap Ball State for Notre Dame - much harder game

Swap Bethune for Famu - wash

Swap cal for NC State - likely wash

swap duke for AT Pitt - harder game

swap GT for AT SMU - harder game

swap wake for Stanford - likely wash

Sched def aint easier and without some pieces really falling into place I can easily see 3-4 losses.
