All in on Mateer (Boomed and Sooned)

Forget QB, we lost out on: Rivers, Calhoun, Odom, Gyabor, possibly singleton and Concepcion and now don’t have much traction with OL and just lost Horton and Mateer commits to OU ?

We are missing out on EVERYONE. I don’t know what the strategy could possibly be but it’s failing.

How the **** did 10-2 hurt us more then 5-7 or 7-5 did
This is what I’m seeing as well. At this point not seeing things aren’t going great means you’re wearing orange and green glasses

What ****es me off is that our rivals are getting better. **** UNC took a swing at hiring the Patriots staff and praying it will be Saban 2.0. Meanwhile we “steal” LSU’s injured 4th WR and lose Horton to Bama. We sign a one year rental safety who will just **** off Patterson or prove he is a bust. Unless a QB who started for a top 15 team this year “shocks the world” and hits the portal, it looks like we will need to have a historically good running game or we are going to play in the Boca Bowl-if at all-next season.

Plan D I mentioned two weeks ago is still out there lol. I’d be ok with him but he’s not **** enough for cis

the safety has 3 years I thought

Mendoza throws for 3,500 yards and 25-30 TDs here in this offense. With what I think we have coming back and how I expect it to look, I’d see us around 15-20 in scoring offense.

Improve the defense and I can see us going 10-2 again. Going to take an investment at CB1, another safety, and a stud DT. Then, round out the offense with 1, maybe 2 more WRs and maybe a starting caliber LG to push competition there (or center).

I agree, theres still half a starting defense that needs to be ugraded in the portal but if it gets there, my predictions for next year-

Mendoza's ceiling is probably 10 wins,. Floor probably 8 wins.

Emory - Ceiling 8 wins , Floor is benched and nickel starting mid season

Pay Singleton and Mendoza Mateer’s money and I’d be happy.
I'd sign up for this but it would require actually getting some portal dudes on defense which we've struggled to do other than Barrow.

Or maybe there’s people in the playoffs that are gonna go to the portal after their games that are on their first or second team as opposed to the guys on the third team getting no representative already made it public
When we are this bad at D and WR you take a sure thing. Waiting on some players in the playoffs cannot be a plan A.

Emory might limp us to another toilet bowl appearance where we’ll get to see Jud the Stud. Then, one year closer to a new head coach.

What happened to the “qbs are lining up to play in Miami” after the season cam ward had
Which ones? Mateer was the only must have, big name guy out there, and he was joined at the hip with his OC and chose a really bad offense. Arnold is all potential, hasn't shown or proven a thing yet, or even looked good when he has played. Mensah jumped at his first P4 offer before portal action really got going. Murphy...meh, I'd rather roll with Williams and Nickel competing for the spot. Mendoza I'd be content with as an experienced starter to push the room, but it remains to be seen if he he can elevate things when surrounded by actual talent unlike Cal.
