That's not good bruh. 4-3 DE, while heavy, usually are athletic. If Chad would have ran a 4.5-4.6 then he would be considered a 1st rounder. That 4.9 solidifies his status as a 3rd-4th rounder.
You dont know how this works.

I don’t like him either but that 40 will make some team take him think he will be Clowney..

I mean I know he was hurt last year but the kid still
Doesn’t have a ton of production or wow plays like Clowney had. You would think nfl gm’s would see through the measurables. He’s a guy the late al Davis would take just because of the 40 time.

Chad probably cemented himself in the top 3 rounds. NFLNetwork guys compared him to Jared Odrick who went in the first.

Chad likely was a 4th-5th rounder at end of the season...i think hes climbing.

They just had Chad working the olb drill...He's 6'5 280...and looked smooth doing it. Dude about to be a steal...as he looks different than most guys there not named Chubb...and Sweat doesnt have the tape he likely has. I liked the Boston College kid more than Sweat all year.

Regarding Chad, there is a lot that teams can do with a man that size who can move like that. I agree ^, his stock is rising.

He's not a 1st round pick, but no, that's not a a bad time for him. He's a traditional 4-3 end who will not be looked at as the pass rushing specialist. A team taking him will have the speed/attack rusher at the other end position.
