Winning is hard

Just read a quick article by Heather Dinich talking about how the SEC will be getting a 3 loss team in over a 1/2 loss Big 12/ACC opponent.

In her playoff projections she had:

12. Bama
13. Ole Miss
14. South Carolina
15. Clemson

Absolutely embarrassing to be so stubborn about the fact the SEC is other worldly and refuse to give other teams credit.

Her putting Bama, Ole Miss & SC ahead of Clemson is ridiculous.

Also mentioned how Indiana should be in over SMU because Indianas loss to OSU isn’t as bad as losing to a 2 loss BYU yet SMU has the 4 best wins between the two 😂😂 which is it heather do the wins count or the losses
Anyone think Heather gets bukkake’d at SEC media day?

Rankings are not what they used to be in this new era of college football. It’s clear the transfer portal and NIL are leveling the playing field to some extent. This isn’t a one year aberration. We are likely to see more parity once revenue sharing is implemented.

Total chaos, I love it.

would have been one more but penn state squeaked out a 1 point win.

feels great to be a Miami hurricane fan honestly after tonight's games.

if we beat Syracuse and lose a close one to SMU, think we're still in
I think we have to win both, but I hope you’re right.

Any other top 10 team that loses to a 5 win team in week 11 ppl say “that team wasn’t as good as we thought.” But when it’s an SEC team they say “well that 5 win team could win a different conference. So that top

10 team is still one of the best.”

Which we know ain’t true.

ESPN has a vested interest in the SEC but it’s just getting to be too much at this point. You can’t spin these losses. Take the logos off the helmets. UF,Auburn,OU have been absolute dumpster fires and are not good football teams this season. There is no such thing as a quality loss.

College football is minor league NFL.

NIL and transfers have watered down rosters.

Very hard to build depth and continuity on rosters now.

You can’t just stand kids for 3-4 years until they are ready.

This is the new normal in college.

Since this is now like the nfl, they need to do away with rankings and such which likely happens once they expand the playoffs.

All that will matter is wins, not necessarily who it is and by how much. Nfl it doesn’t matter if it’s 1 point or 30 point win. Optics doesn’t play a part in the playoffs.

College needs to restructure its playoffs and leagues. It’s coming soon watch.

Picture this for your committee....

1. This team suffered only 1 loss
2. On the road
3. By less than a touchdown
4. To a bowl eligible team

Committee: Oh which SEC Team is that?? They're definitely in

Its Miami...

Committee: Yeah but one loss in the ACC isn't as good as 3 losses to .500 or sub .500 SEC teams

They will have to admit that the SEC is off this year now. They may soften that message but it’s the topic of the week now and it happens to be just as the season is ending.

Best case scenario, Texas beats A&M and crushes Georgia in the SEC championship game. Left with only one team with fewer than 3 losses the SEC only gets Texas into the CFP.
