Winning is hard

another underrated thing is a lot of the actual good teams laid eggs yesterday

seeing bama or ole miss in the playoffs was not something i wanted to witness personally

seeing penn state, another ACC team, texas and UGA (both with up and down qb play), or Tennessee is a lot more appealing
bama is getting in if they beat auburn. having them jump miami after beating mercer wasnt a mistake. they made it so they have to get in

listen i know most of us are wounded after years of bama bias

but they ain't getting in. maybe if last night was a close one, but 24-3 to oklhaoma - they are not in unless absolute chaos like us, smu, clemson, Indiana, penn state, ohio state, etc. losing
post OU loss - they hvave the 12th best odds to make it to the CFP.

Man, UND's dominating win over Army continues to demonstrate beating ACC Teams, Service Academies at neutral sites and those paid for MAC schools at home is the true validation of "Playing like a Champion!"...Err, strike that last part please.

Lincoln for all that is unholy, strike them down in the Coliseum and save us all from the Teos...
I hate ND but man at least they are beating teams like they should

we still haven't found out how to play to our talent and not the level of competition until the 4th quarter

listen man i get it. i think we would beat ND, I'm not arguing for ND to be super great - I'm just saying I get why they would be higher than us right now in the rankings

they also played GT (the team we lost to) more recently and beat the brakes off of them.

hopefully we see them in the playoffs, as I think we'll be fine against Golden's D

Already trying to get 2 loss teams to jump us.

Of course our head to head with GT is the only thing that matters.

Not our head to head with UF or the fact that UGA has TWO losses And BOTH of them keep looking worse and worse. If Miami gets jumped by a 2 loss team after we win out, that's just setting up to keep a 2nd ACC team out of the playoffs.

I'll be rooting hard for GT next week.

It'd be nice to have 1 1-loss ACC champ (us) and 2x 2-loss ACC teams (SMU and Clemson) so we can get at least 2 or 3 teams into the playoffs.

View attachment 311837What about the UFAG game for both of us?

For some reason we couldn’t combine our run game with our passing game the way the LAME school did. Couldnt get key stops and ND looked like a physically better team than they did.

I will be honest with everyone I don’t care about the ACC getting 2 teams in UNLESS it benefits Miami. The only allegiance I have to the ACC is the benefit of Miami. Long as Miami is in the playoffs I don’t care what happens with the rest of the ACC lol
One of those things that isn’t worth truly pulling for (though I find myself doing it) because we aren’t the SEC.

Beating SMU in a Conference Championship (or losing), both making the playoff and then the loser, with a lower seed, boat racing a hypothetical number 5 or 6 seed first round with each of us having a high-powered offense and a nothing-to-lose outlook at that point should be something we could all cheer for as bringing the conference up in future evaluations. But it never happens that way, there will be no carryover.

But we will remain reminded as to how deep the other conference is. Maybe parity is silently on the rise but it won’t be talked about so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Big Ten is lucky Oregon joined and perennial paper tiger Penn State found some rhythm (for the meantime) otherwise they’d be in the same spot with a leader in the nuts and a suspect one-loss cigderella.

So let’s just keep stacking, building, and winning.

Notre Dame finishes it out
Highest they will be is 6th
4 conference plus big12
They will get a 2 loss SEC or b10 team.
Just hope they aren't seeded higher than a true conference championship team runner up
But we know...

Oh **** daniels just hit an 86 yarder w seconds left...lol
Edit. Washington misses xp
