Another brilliant post. Let's ignore everything he has done the last two years and only focus on if Campbell comes. Great call.

LOL at the Rumph Rangers thinking this is ONLY about Campbell with Rumph.

Not a "Rumph Ranger" but the knee jerking ****s on this board have been asking for Rumph's head if Campbell doesn't come. Why else would he be fired for? I am very pleased with how our Corners have played the past two seasons, and I don't believe they are nearly as talented (outside of Bandy) as the new CB's coming in. I am confident he will develop next wave of CB's to the next level. If Campbell joins us then look out.

You know **** well people aren’t upset with Rumph recruiting solely based on if he blows the Campbell layup.

“The Campbell layup.”

You continue to one up yourself, old man.

Bama and Georgia are throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars at the kid and he should be considered a layup because Rumph coached him when he was 13?

If Rumph is able to land Campbell it will be an absolutely phenomenal job by him. The cherry on top to an amazing cycle for our best position coach.

"Hundreds of thousands of dollars", that crock of **** gets old after awhile. Tyson is going to school that best fits what he wants in a college and football. Think after his Ga visit the 12th and Bama the 19th, hoping we do get him and teammates on the 26th for final shot.

What has he had to work with?

He hasn’t had one top notch guy. Even as good as Elder was he was undersized.

Young is the closest thing to a prototypical CB he’s had to mold and he was a 3 star guy.

Your troll schtick is awful. What has he had to work with? Last year’s entire secondary is cashing NFL checks right now.

Rumph is responsible for the CB, not the S. That eliminates Carter and Jenkins.

Elder was a great player, but he is undersized, which is why he wasn’t drafted until very late. Colbert had to make the transition to safety in the league, an indication that he wasn’t talented enough to play CB despite him being a solid starter here at that spot solely thanks to the teachings of Coach Rumph.

Get this sausage wallet off my board.

C’mon.

I thought you were a “Living Legend”? That’s the best insult you could come up with?

Living Legend losing his luster.
Luster this...

Campbell is as quiet as a recruit can be , I don't care what any recruiting person crystal balls. Anyone that says they know is lying.

The whole crystal ball facquitry is a shyst anyway. Remember McFartland last year. We had every crystal ball, and then the day he flipped they all changed to Maryland.

Yet they keep duping people with the crystal ball bullshyt even when they tell you it's based on such dopey **** as a "vibe" like these penny-ante ****ants have psychic or cosmic powers.

While it would be a **** shame if we miss out on Campbell(who I still think we get), it's definitely not a fireable offense for Rumph lol. The secondary was considered a weak spot coming into the season yet people are still using the end of the season struggles against the pass as Ann indictment solely of Rumph, which doesn't make sense. He's done a good job with our DBs and expect them as a group to only improve with the increase in talent coming in.

So Rumph should get a pass for bad recruiting and for us not covering anyone this year? Sounds good to me.

Bottom line: Make a big play with the AH 4, or beat it.

It's a marketing ploy by 247 to generate clicks and subs.

Spot on. Pete has said quite a few times that the 2018 class was THE class Richt had been focusing on since he became HC. So then its reasonable to assume he hired Rumph specifically to bring in players from AH, in the 2018 class. Yes, Rumph is a former Cane and a former NFL player. But those aren't the reasons Richt hired him. Kevin Beard checked off both of those boxes as well. Maybe I'm wrong and Richt brought in a guy who had no college coaching experience, to coach defensive backs, just because he is a former alum. But if thats not the case... and Rumph misses on Campbell... all **** SHOULD break loose.

Rumph missed on Marco Wilson, even though he coached him in high school and his dad played at Miami. The damage Golden did to the Miami - Wilson relationship should've been repaired with the hiring of Rumph. It wasn't. Lots of posters say Rumph had a hand in getting Surtain Sr the job at AH. So of course Surtain Jr rarely mentions Miami when discussing recruiting and leaves us out every time he names his top one billion. Slaton went to Florida. Herbert spurned him and was committed to Michigan for 6 months. Its also rumored that UFag not having an O-Line coach is what saved us with him.

To be clear I don't dislike Rumph. But if he misses out on Campbell, he can take a hike.

Rumph as a DB coach needs to be either a **** of a coach or a **** of a recruiter so far neither

Losing Campbell would be a major red flag and a savage coach would not wait. It is a production business period

By the way Campbell is can’t miss top 10 pick after watching him today.
