Not liking all these crystal balls to Georgia...

I believe the Crystal Ball system is highly skewed due to last second changes, but the last person to CB Tyson to UGA, Benjamin Wolk, is one of the top guys and his average days ahead of a commitment is almost 100 Days. I still think that from what we have heard from Rattler that Tyson is leaning towards Miami but the comp is pulling out all the stops is the most accurate info. But even as someone who doesn’t put a ton of stock into CBs due to their fluidity, it is getting a bit concerning.

Oh well. See ya. If you don't want to be a Cane, **** off.

:monkey-serious:

Since you’re into crystal balls you should also know that only 2 are new and we still hold a substantial lead...

If he visits, I'd say he probably comes here. Still a chance he won't. If he doesn't come on that official though, he ain't coming.

Why Crystal Balls lie —

Chatman
Briggs
Milton
Mallory
Thompson
Sherwood

Just a few examples off the top of my head if players where CBs lies or changed with the wind. Relax.

While it would be a **** shame if we miss out on Campbell(who I still think we get), it's definitely not a fireable offense for Rumph lol. The secondary was considered a weak spot coming into the season yet people are still using the end of the season struggles against the pass as Ann indictment solely of Rumph, which doesn't make sense. He's done a good job with our DBs and expect them as a group to only improve with the increase in talent coming in.

So Rumph should get a pass for bad recruiting and for us not covering anyone this year? Sounds good to me.

Bottom line: Make a big play with the AH 4, or beat it.

Spot on. Pete has said quite a few times that the 2018 class was THE class Richt had been focusing on since he became HC. So then its reasonable to assume he hired Rumph specifically to bring in players from AH, in the 2018 class. Yes, Rumph is a former Cane and a former NFL player. But those aren't the reasons Richt hired him. Kevin Beard checked off both of those boxes as well. Maybe I'm wrong and Richt brought in a guy who had no college coaching experience, to coach defensive backs, just because he is a former alum. But if thats not the case... and Rumph misses on Campbell... all **** SHOULD break loose.

Rumph missed on Marco Wilson, even though he coached him in high school and his dad played at Miami. The damage Golden did to the Miami - Wilson relationship should've been repaired with the hiring of Rumph. It wasn't. Lots of posters say Rumph had a hand in getting Surtain Sr the job at AH. So of course Surtain Jr rarely mentions Miami when discussing recruiting and leaves us out every time he names his top one billion. Slaton went to Florida. Herbert spurned him and was committed to Michigan for 6 months. Its also rumored that UFag not having an O-Line coach is what saved us with him.

To be clear I don't dislike Rumph. But if he misses out on Campbell, he can take a hike.

You guys crack me up, just bc a dude (Rumph) coached kids in HS doesn't make the kids obligated or any more likely to go to the school that said coach now coaches at. This is flawed logic. You hope that the previous relationship gets us at the table, but the salesman piece doesn't change based on the previous relationship. It's all about what have you done lately, and can you get me to the league, point blank.

And for the record, Slaton wanted to come to us, but we didn't want him after Hebert & Hillary signed on.

Rumph helped mold Campbell and Surtain Jr into the top 2 corners in the nation just as he has much improved the play of guys we have on roster. Simple logic would be to to continue to grow under Rumph and rep all the people that supported you and helped get you to this point but so many 305 kids have turned into followers instead of leaders. Something I never thought I would see.

It actually does mean that at every school but UM. 5* Ed Oliver follows his hs coach to Houston but we shouldn't expect Rumph to seal the deal at Miami?

If he goes to Uga, a word of advice for Rattler. Stay away for a while. It’s going to get as toxic as you can imagine.

I thought it was a well known fact that Tyson Campbell is visiting on 1/26 with the rest of the American Heritage 4.
