Will 8-4 in 2014 bring you on board with Golden?

It's funny because some are saying this team isn't as good and our schedule is harder, but demand we win the conference, or Golden should be fired.
our team is better. Our schedule is not difficult.

enough with the ****ing excuses

The excuses thing is getting to be as cliche as swagger.

Y'all ain't getting what you want, saying that over and over and changing nothing. The ills surrounding the program are what they are. Crying on message boards won't take them away.

Might as well just sit back and watch the show. Support the kids. Enough with the excuses pitch. I want another 'ship as much as the next, but the writing on the wall is there. Golden might as well be sitting on ice, university won't make a change, deal with it, or get another squad to follow. FSU and the SEC have plenty of empty seats on their bandwagons.

To go out there and expect Kevin Olsen to win you 10 games is setting yourself up for a huge letdown. Now winning the ACC Coastal shouldnt be an issue. But winning 10 regular season games with the schedule we have and an unproven QB with ZERO game experience is really just being delusional.

I predicted 7-5, 4-4 ACC and 3-1 OOC, but just suppose we can pull out 8-4, ( 4-4 ACC/4-0 OOC? )

Does that make "Wait until Kaaya in 2015" any better as an excuse to keep this staff?

Is not having the hyped and highly rated Williams at our helm for 2014 some kind of excuse? (He must be great, he unfortunately was behind Morris?)

I see guaranteed, with NO chance to win, losses to UL, VT and Free Shoes in the ACC, and the odds of us NOT losing at least a game to the likes of GT, Duke, UNC and UVA (let's face it, NO WAY Golden is 4-0 vs GT, UNC, Duke and UVA, never happened, never will) are about zero.

But, at Nebraska could be a win. Bad coach (the Bielema of the B12), descending program (the administration WANTS 8-4/7-5 seasons, as if a Shalala clone is their President). Bad team (granted, nowhere near as bad as what Golden has produced in 3 years) but any team with a slight pulse can beat Nebraska.

Will that be the rallying cry of the Golden faction?

IMO, 8-4, 4-4 ACC is grounds for crucification in any coach's fourth season. But I don't speak for everyone.

Is 8-4, 4-4 ACC or 8-4, 5-3 ACC satisfactory?

I'm on board with Golden now, and would be very disappointed with an 8-4 record. I was not happy with the Duke loss last year, we should have beat them with running the ball more. The VT loss showed some inexperience with our play makers - coley and burns fumbling the ball in the rain. However, with this team we should not lose a game like that this year. As for the FSU game, I think we will do more than just hang with them. We have play makers at multiple levels.

Unless the QB position is just Kirby Freeman types we should expect AT LEAST 10 wins.

8-4 and ill join the rest of you with the bashing.

Do we have the QB? I don't think so. With Ryan i was a bit more confident.. but if Baby Jesus doesn't play like we need him too, it's going to be a rough season offensively. Add to that that i have minimal confidence in Coley's skills as a play caller, and i think we're going to need baby jesus to be just that.

This'll be his 4th year here. If you can't find a QB in that time then that's your own ******* fault.

It's NSD 2012, we just signed that class with Duke and Tracy. Many on here were touting it as the class that would bring us back. We already knew about the cloud and such. If I told you back then that in this class's 3rd year we would finish 8-4 how would have u felt about my statement? Probably 70 percent of the board back then would have laughed me off the board. Think about it, these guys are finally juniors. 8-4 is just not cutting it.

Not setting a bar. Speaking the truth. Y'all can't handle it.

NO truth there, just non accountability. Granted this administration has made some blunders the last 10 years, when fans stop attending the games because of the product on the field they will wake-up again like they did when the fired Coker and Shannon. The question is will it be the end of 2014 or 2015 if the product doesn't meet the Cane standard.

That means they'd have to start attending in the first place.

Honestly I need to see how the season plays out. I would've been good with 9-3 going into last season, but that was a ****-*** 9-3. We started 7-0, then played our worst football of the season down the stretch.

If we go 8-4 with a true frosh QB while trending up at the end of the season and smash a decent team in a bowl game, I might hop back on the optimism train.

So now we can't expect a redshirt freshman that was highly rated in high school to deliver a 10 win season when we play in the worst division? Lulz

So, you are running for your life through a jungle, an animal of some sort is chasing for it's meal, or just to kill you, who knows or cares, you are running.

There is a cliff suddenly, you have somewhat of a lead on your predator. You look over and there are three branches. The decision is made, you are going to jump, and will hope to grab one of the branches.

What the **** does this have to do with this thread? Let's continue the story.

One of three things factor into how this whole thing goes on.

1.) You tell yourself, I'm jumping, and one of those branches WILL catch me, and I WILL survive this, anything else will be a failure (Obviously). I'll choose the middle branch. You jump............

2.) You tell yourself, I'm going to jump, I'm picking the branch on the far right. You say to yourself, I don't give a **** what happens, I'm jumping. I hope to the Lord that one will hold. If it does, I have a shot at survival, if it doesn't, well ****. You jump.........

3.) You tell yourself, I'm going to jump, I'm picking the far left, I don't think it will hold at all, I'M GOING TO JUMP. You jump..........

No matter which of the three you are, does it change whether or not any of the branches will hold?

Point being, not matter what you believe, you have ZERO affect on something you have ZERO affect on. You can have the best of intentions, but those intentions don't make that branch any stronger.

You can expect him to. Maybe he is the second coming of Famous Rapist, or the second coming of Johnny Foosball. I'll take it if it happens. Question is, probability that it happens?

Get the next guy ready. **** these excuses.

We've seen two redshirt freshman QBs when the Heisman in as many years. One of them just won the national championship.

Gus Malzahn just took Auburn to the national championship with a ******* cornerback playing QB. I don't won't to hear any god**** execuses about quarterbacks.

Whether or not it was, you can bet Golden will turn the injury of Williams into the new cloud next year if he doesn't return and the young QB's struggle.

How were you more confident with Ryan Williams starting when Golden would not start him over a one legged erratic Morris? How can you be confident in a QB that Golden clearly didn't deem good enough to start over his injured inconsistent QB?

Lulz. You don't need to be the second coming of anyone to win ten games with our schedule. A year ago everyone was saying Olsen was the next great QB, now suddenly we can't expect him to play well because he's a redshirt freshman. I see the excuses are already coming to the fore.

Buddy, get back in the Delorean and PLEASE come back to the year 2014. This is not 2003 anymore. (Where we broke in a virtually new QB in Brock Berlin but surrounded him with **** near 10-15 first round draft picks on that team alone) I swear some of yall are stuck in the past. IF we had FSUs talent (where most NFL Draft sites have them putting 6 guys in the 1st round) then yeah maybe we could trot ole' Kevin out there and win 10 games. But we dont. We barely have 1 first rounder. We are not there yet. We will be soon. But next year is a No. Lets just pray we win the ACC coastal and go from there..

Nah......just simply the second coming of Riley Skinner-

Yep, in 2006, even a RSFR QB won the ACC at WAKE FKING FOREST...and he wasn't even drafted by the NFL.

Did I make one in my post? You do realize you are making more excuses yourself right? Making excuses as to why something should be the way you want.
