What Coaches are getting FIRED today??????

Cribby, you're one of the most sensible people on here. You and I both know the problems with this regime is bigger than simply changing assistant coaches....again. You know how this story ultimately ends
Alright so what are the problems? This is the best year we’ve had since 2017 and this team is better than that team imo

There has to be changes with D staff and I’d expect it. There’s problems in the defensive coaches room and the product shows. I’m thankful I won’t have to watch that unit play anymore this year.
There has to be issues in the coaches room. Between JT, Nick and Guidry, there has to be philosophical differences that has this all a cluster ****.

Do you still see a lack of talent in the secondary and LB core?

How can Mario completely flip this room like he did getting Ward in the portal?
Imo there’s some young , athletic talent at lb , 32 and 22 being a couple. So my focus would be more on the secondary 4-6 new guys at db. We need a complete douching of that room. OJ being one of the exceptions even if he had a bad day yesterday. Maybe add 1-2 proven lb’s.

I just don’t understand how you can let that go on with the QB and offense you’re fielding if you’re Mario. Gotta pull a Saban and tell them months ago they either get on the same page or your *** is out the door but somehow it’s gotta be fixed now. It didn’t get fixed

Like to me that reads as if egos were so big in that room that they’d rather waste a heisman candidate QB than just admit mistakes and work to getting it right. Insane and completely selfish.
It all comes down to the head man, 💯

He allowed it to happen.

Under Manny, Richt, Golden, Shannon, Coker…it was all down to the head man. They all got replaced, because accountability falls on them…as it does for every HC in any sport.

Only Mario gets a pass and our “fans” deflect blame to anyone else, because he’s Mario and our homegrown savior. And it’s not everyone as most have come to the proper realization as to who he is, it’s just the same 15-20 posters that won’t get off his jock and come up with countless excuses.

And I’m ready to get the @‘s out every time they post now, because I’m done sitting in the shadows while they continuously move goal posts.

We already know Mario's hring and firing process. Not happening now.
I don't think all the coaches on D were coming back regardless because opportunity. Forget going into all the failures by the staff on that side of the ball across the board. If a coach can't make in game adjustments in today's game, he can't coach on this level. You can't be getting pummeled and wait until the half to make adjustments today. That is just a fact.

I was thinking about this this morning. 💯 wait until the playoff determination then fire who needs to be fired — all of them that need to go.
If by some miracle they get in, I am still for making a change.

Have DNick or Taylor be the DC for game prep and during the game.

Sometimes that may be all that is needed. It happens all of the time where a coach is fired the next week the interim has an added effect for the positive.

It can’t get much worse than it is now.

In hindsight, Mario should’ve made a change during the bye week leading to Wake.

The wake game was a farce. What Wake did their first two drives was not a farce.

Y in yr 3 after “carefully selecting & vetting coaches to make sure everyone is on the same page” are we hearing once again problems in these rooms?

This narrative is getting old, & I’m not saying u’re putting out this narrative, I’m saying if this keeps happening e.g Gattis vs. Ponce, Stroud vs. Strong, Addae vs. Guidry, etc etc, clearly Mario’s vetting process is now in ?.

This isn't entirely true. The only time people were fully united behind firing someone at the end was with Al Golden. Manny was defended, Shannon was defended. Richt had a little heat but no one wanted him gone, he quit because he left his heart in Georgia and was done with the coaching thing. Coker was hired for the 2001 team that loved him so that made sense at the time. Mario, I'm not sure what the issue is but he has a lot of turnover on his staff coupled with average results on the field. Something seems off....

I don’t think he’s vetting long enough. Three days of keeping a coach locked in your office with their eyes taped open is just too short of a time frame. Imo seven days is the only way to fully vet somebody. I think that fixes this issue pretty quickly. Btw I think by reading my posts this season I’m not putting out positive narratives for Mario lol.

I’m talking about his hiring process. He’s taken months to do it the “right way.”

Ideally he’d have had the foresight to force changes early in the year when it was obvious our d couldn’t stop a cold. If ACC championship was the goal and standard to meet, you have to nip that in the bud immediately. You have to know that will bite you in the *** at some point as the stakes and competition gets tougher. Well it did

This team would not have beaten that Notre Dame in 2017. As far as what the problems are, the search button is your friend. Plenty of analysis on that already from folks on here.
On offense yes, on defense that team won all those games by being opportunistic. The turnovers propelled us to a bunch of wins in 17. I was there for that wonderful experience. This is the worst D we have had since before our dynasty and I am old. This is our best O ever and it could be better. Probably our worst D since the 70's before I was watching.

Exactly, he tries to act like some tough guy hardass with the media but he lets his coaches and players walk all over him. Guy seems like a *****.

If the coaches don't get along, fire the problem one or force them to figure it out. Don't let them flush such a promising season down the toilet.

I edited the post but you’d already responded. I’ve been hard on Mario this year especially after GT because I could see all the issues early being covered up by a bad schedule / Cam. I’ve also been hard on him about his hiring process. It’s beyond obvious he overthinks **** when it comes to making decisions. Which has been his rep prior to arriving here. There’s no defending him at this point. From in game to making hires. He keeps getting passes and mulligans for the bad deacons because he’s a Miami guy. That’s been clear as day with every new narrative that comes out defending him. It’s just an uncomfortable truth at this point.
