Okay - fair. IF he blows up Frenchy then ya, of course he's legendary. At the same time, I've seen comps to Kam Chancellor and Sean Taylor in this thread for a ******* 3* tweener S/WR combo. Come on, guys. I think we can be excited for the kid and realistic about what we signed?

sounds like his issue was qualifying. also ANY comparison to jamal carter is an insult. kid has way better instincts.
 
just looking at the brief huddle clip. He did not show anything speed wise, but the staff can do what they want with him between safety and linebacker. I am leaning more to LB, by what I watched, but I can see Gus knocking that baby fat off and making him lean and quick, for safety. After the star givers only gave Pickney 3, I don't really take that crap in account. I am sure Richt and co. have looked at him closer than 247.
 
I am in the middle of Finals week here in college, anyone want to give me a quick hitter bio on this kid.
Does he have possibility to play FS?
Where were his offers from?
He have ball skills?

I think the kid is going to do big things here and had him in the tier just under ***an and Delpit. He covers a lot of ground with that rangy frame of his but and everyone can see the hits. Not the best lateral movement but longs arms will save him a lot plus you can tell he is at ease when the ball is in the air. Dude will definitely pass the look test coming off the bus after a year of weights. Happily suprised bc I didn't think we were recruiting him anymore... I expect him to be my Pinckney of this class, I remember when pretty much this whole board blindly picked him to redshirt and be the most behind of the freshman linebackers last year when the film shows his instincts would convert over. Y'all gonna love this kid in a few years

This. This dude is superior in space and range. He also plays the ball unlike Carter. They do compare with bringing the hat

To be fair, Kam was a lower rated 3 star with this kid. With far worse offers.

This is a Diaz kinda guy. Like it. Can play LB all day even at his size now. Special teams stud his freshman year. I would rather have him over Collier.

Thats high school..... College football is a completely different animal. The college team with the best athletes are going to come out ahead most times. Some kids have unreal instincts to make up for the lack of athleticism they may have. He might be the goods who knows. Doubt it though.

Yeah i don't get this pick up for reasons you listed. Knowles and Finley are the same type of S as well.

Need some rangy athletes back there.
