We wont beat top tier Teams

To be fair this was the main issue going into the season.

I don’t think anyone had us as one of the elite teams. They have met expectations and I would say surpassed it on offense and on the record. Dont think anyone rational had us going 2-0 on the back to back road games in Cal and Louisville

This shows where we are lacking and I think we can confidently expect Mario to attack the talent gap at DB

Tennessee would smash us I think but we’d have to beg for a running clock after halftime against OSU….Guidry got to do something even if it’s changing out everyone and give the backups a shot to see what they can do…or going to all out blitzing and taking your chances you can get or hurrying the QB in to TO’s or incomplete passes…cause what they’re doing now just ain’t working…

OSU couldn't stop Dillon Gabriel, they ain't stopping Cam Ward.

Not saying they could stop Ward but we sure as **** aren’t stopping their offense and as far as Tennessee I don’t think they’d beat OSU so playing them and how bad they’d beat probably isn’t an issue ..
 
Anyone can win on any Saturday. I haven’t watched a team change my mind. We also have the best offense and best qb in college. And it’s not really much a debate.

But, let’s not move goal posts. Before the year it was 10/11 wins and compete for the acc championship. That’s hasn’t changed. I like our offense vs anyone in the acc.

Let’s worry about playoffs and those matchups if and when we get there.

We don't have to be elite we just can't be bad. Sadly we are bad at the moment with not much hope to get a lot better. So I agree we aren't going to fare well against any team that can slow down our offense and also has some punch of their own. Disagree that we have to be lights out in the back end to win it all. Certainly would make it easier though

You are absolutely correct, Dwins.

Only saving grace is the fact that UL is the best offense we face for the rest of the regular season. They put up points.

But yeah - until we address that secondary, best we can hope to do is outscore our opponents.

We should have beaten UL 52-31. Our D made it so much closer than is should have been.

Yea we need some luck in the playoffs. I’m not saying it’s impossible to win it but it’s unlikely. We have to draw up the right match ups and get momentum on our side

The last three games have been interesting.

VT is a better team than the record indicates. The defense was not good but was also put in some bad situations. The offense certainly did no favors with turnovers.

Cal would have been a great defensive performance without four plays. Game day was there and that was the biggest game they have played in years. That was their super bowl, but no excuses we should have blown them out.

Louisville is the same as VT. They are a better team than the record they have. Brohm has Guidry's number and if it wasn't for some outstanding offensive performances, we would have gotten crushed.

FSU is total trash and Duke is pretty putrid on offense. If they are moving the ball at will then we are in serious trouble.

All I said was an opinion and facts. I don’t change my username to hide or hold female grudges. ***** can’t even like a post I make where as I like his even if we had a history. It is quite apparent that '24 Miami is '23 FSU. A flawed team getting by on a mixture of luck and great QB play (please stay healthy Cam). Where Miami is different than FSU is the team is being built by stacking recruiting classes so hopefully '25 Miami avoids becoming '24 FSU.

I am disappointed in the DL play today and it seems like the secondary is not improving at all. But ****, just enjoy the ride. The future is bright.

The '25 class seems to lack the top flight guys.. hopefully we close well.. right now missing on wr and BADLY NEEDED DBS
 
We all see it. We’re not an all around great, roll over everybody team. We’ve got an incredible QB and a quite good offensive cast and D line and gotta figure it out week to week. To expect more than that is to court dissapointment.

That said, there are still major program altering stakes for the season. A cam Heisman run is the biggest to me. Undefeated regular season would be amazing. ACC title would be the cherry
 
1. I've totally enjoyed how the year has played out so far.

2. Yes, I think our offense allows us to beat probably any team in the country. Top 4 or so would present a problem as other have noted ;i.e. they can likely hold us to sub-50 and we likely allow them above 50.

3. We're not even an average defense in conference play. We are tied for last with NC State in scoring defense at 39 points allowed per game against in-conference opponents.

Again, I'm enjoying the **** out of this season. And I wish that our defense played better than tied for worst in the ACC against in-conference opponents.
